Course Requirements: Requirements for the Italian Minor are IT101, IT102, IT201, IT202 and any two of the following: IT322, IT324, IT395 IT399, IT251 (St. Jerome, UW). It is strongly recommended that students take LL200 and LL201. The Minor in Italian offers the possibility to obtain a working knowledge of the language while presenting students with a cultural understanding of Italy. Italian could be used as a component of the Honours BA in Languages, as language III or as part of the Mediterranean Studies program.

Why study ITALIAN at Wilfrid Laurier? In learning how to communicate and interact in a contemporary language, you will be acquiring practical skills, relevant in any career. Effective language skills will be enriched by a well-grounded knowledge and understanding of Italian society and culture, useful in any personal or working situation. You will have the opportunity to participate in exchange programs with the Italian universities of Milan and Udine. For most courses, faculty members will make use of advanced multimedia classrooms, providing students with a unique chance to benefit from an interactive learning experience.

Third Year Abroad Program A Third Year Abroad Program can be arranged through Laurier International at the Università degli Studi di Udine, in Udine and Università Carlo Cattaneio— LIUC, in Catellanza (VA), Italy.
