Bring-A-Friend Events (where each Girl Scout brings a girl who is not currently a registered member of GSNMT). Volunteers are highly encouraged to contact their Service Unit Manager or Regional Manager with any questions or concerns regarding the need of supplementary insurance. Purchasing insurance must be done through the Council’s Policy & Procedure Manager. All insurance must be purchased a minimum of one (1) week in advance of the activity it is covering.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN INSURANCE BE PURCHASED RETROACTIVELY.

Note that insurance is directly tied to registration as yearly membership IS basic coverage for the Girl Scout calendar year in which a member is registered.
