April winner The April photo by Michael Gery showed a mill in the Moss Hill community on Hwy. 55 between Seven Springs and Starbane, Lenoir County. Rutherford County-based Lakeside Mills made corn meal there, and before that the Davis family did the same. Randal Herring of La Grange remembers fishing in the millpond. Peggy Rouse remembers it all lit up at night. Jay Rouse remembers seeing a new car upended in the millrace.
