Target those areas everyone want to work. Using a combo of cardio & a variety of equipment, the main focus will be from the neck to the knees & other problem areas. NEW

40 minutes of cardio kickboxing followed by 20 minutes of ab toning.

Forever Young Tai Chi for Strength

A mixture of high and low-impact using a step with an adjustable platform. With simple choreographed routines.

Yoga-Lates Find focus and balance as you gracefully transition from yoga’s strength and stretch movements to Pilates-inspired movements.

Zumba Toning

NEW

The Zumba Toning Program takes the original Zumba dance-fitness class to the next level utilizing light weights. This combination of cardio and dynamic resistive exercises is an effective use of lightweight training to improve overall performance. This Latin-inspired dance n’ tone class alternates cardio and lightweight routines to improve cardiovascular and overall muscular endurance. Have fun moving to Salsa, Merengue, Samba, Cha Cha and more, while toning your body.

Zumba

Let Latin music motivate you to move in this fun class. Movements will be modified to fit fitness level.

OCTOBER IS FREE FITNESS MONTH Try y MyChoice fitness classes for free anytime during October. That’s 18 different classes offered every week and they’re worth checking out. All classes are held at the Simkus Recreation Center.

• Register for your free six-class MyChoice Fitness Pass Punch at the Simkus Recreation Center • Applicable one-time registration per patron • Not valid for MyChoice fitness members • Not valid for individuals who have had an active MyChoice Fitness Punch as of April 2012 • Must be minimum of 14 years of age to participate; age 14-15 years must have parent with active MyChoice membership or punch pass participating with them in the fitness class Pick up your free six-class MyChoice Fitness Pass Punch at the Simkus Recreation Center service desk.
