BRIEF TITLE Foxx The Brief Create an identity for the indie band Foxx and propose a range of printed merchandise material that links with their new visual aesthetic. Concept/Proposition Mystical

Considerations What are the band’s competition in terms of their market position and who are they represented by and what are they compared to? Do JLS really represent the next best thing to the band? Are there any other bands similar that contain the word fox and how can they be separated from these? Why Foxx? What qualities inspired by a fox does the band wish to communicate to it’s audience? What kind of material is appropriate to the need of their consumers? How can supporting material be use to communicate mystical aspects of the band’s identity? And how can they link in terms of a design aspect?

Background Foxx are a band of 5 touring with larger band Duran Duran at the end of the year. The music the band produce is predominantly indie/pop targeted at teen individuals. They currently possess no identity and have referenced illustrations of foxes within their proposed material. Fox related visual material may therefore be essential to the look of their identity.

Mandatory Requirements Use of the band name within the logo/identity. High impact/’cutting edge’.

Target Audience Band members, their targeted audience of teen/pop enthusiasts, general public interested in indie music.

Deliverables A4 PDF of proposed branding and merchandise. Printed mock-ups of any identity related material.

Tone of Voice Professional, eclectic, friendly, intriguing, mysterious.
