La planta formalmente es una elipse cuyos semiejes miden 25 y 20 metros. Su dirección de Norte a Sur aumenta la exposición solar, sin embargo, la bajada de las terrazas tuerce su eje con el fin de conseguir la mejor orientación solar posible para albergar vegetación.
