Dear Partner, The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) is pleased to present our 2019 Resource Guide, a comprehensive listing of our more than three hundred (300) members, their products and services. This year’s guide includes over 20 new and exciting companies ranging from health, travel, sports, event management and graphic design. It also covers our diverse accommodation, from resort hotels to guest houses, and from condominiums to villas, together with our wide range of attractions, activities, restaurants, car rentals, destination management companies and a variety of other tourism-related enterprises. The easy-to-use, 56 page directory for our trade partners and consumers also provides useful information on banking, exchange rates, business hours, language, the local postal system, health and safety, our beaches, our food and fun facts about the
island, to keep you engaged, informed and up-to-date on everything Barbados and what our members have to offer. The BHTA is a not-for-profit private sector trade association, which exists to serve the interests of its diverse membership. Our primary goal is to facilitate the sustainable growth and development of the local tourism sector to the benefit of our members, our country and the people of Barbados. The Association represents approximately eighty percent (80%) of the total registered accommodation room stock on the island and approximately two hundred and sixty-one (261) villas. Approximately seventy percent (70 %) of our membership consists of non-accommodation businesses

Bajan's Favourite Food Ingredients
Method
• 1/2 lb Salt fish
1.
Place salt fish in a bowl and cover with water.

Add remainder of ingredients and mix until well combined.
2.
Soak for six hours, throw out water and cover with fresh water and leave overnight.
7.
Heat oil in the saucepan.
8.
Using a table spoon, carefully drop a spoonful of batter into the hot oil.
9.
Fry for three minutes or until golden.
• 1 cup Regular flour • 1 tsp Baking powder • 1 egg lightly beaten • 3/4 cup water • 3 small onions, finely chopped • 2 tbsp Bajan seasoning • 1 tbsp hot pepper sauce • 2 cups oil for deep frying

Drain salt fish, remove bones carefully, shred and set aside in clean, non reactive bowl.
4.
In a separate bowl, sift flour & baking powder.
5.
Gradually stir water into the sifted mixture.
