The Cardiff City away fan guide has been designed to help you get the most out of your visit here at The Cardiff City Stadium. In this guide is all the information you need to know about having a great away day here with us, including directions, match day activities, where to park and much more. At The Cardiff City Stadium we accommodate all supporters, of all ages, with a large number of activities for everyone. Our aim is to ensure each fan has an enjoyable match-day experience regardless of the result. We at Cardiff City Football Club would like to thank you for purchasing your tickets; we look forward to welcoming you to The Cardiff City Stadium, and wish you a safe journey to and from the venue.

We are always looking at ways in which we can improve your experience here with us, so much so we are the first club to set up an official club Twitter and E-mail address specifically for away fans to give their feedback. CARDIFF CITY FC How to get to the Stadium by Car By Car If you’re travelling to the Stadium by car, access to us from the M4 is easy. Leave the M4 at junction 33 and take the A4232 towards Cardiff/Barry. Exit the A4232 on to the B4267 turn-off, signposted towards Cardiff City Stadium. Follow the slip-road off the B4267 and take the second available exit off the roundabout on to Hadfield Road, and then take the third left in to Bessemer Road. Travel to the end of Bessemer Road and at the traffic lights turn left on to Sloper Road, continue travelling down Sloper Road and turn left (next to the HSS Hire Shop) to access the away supporters car park. There will be Electronic Vehicle Management Signage & ‘Brown Football Signage’ to help guide you to the Cardiff City Stadium from the M4.

Please be aware that devotedly following a sat nav may lead to you being directed through the City Centre which will add at least 30 minutes to your journey. Toll on the Severn Bridge - £6.40 for a car / £12.80 for a small bus

Match Day Parking We have an away parking area located in the away compound of the ground, which can be accessed via Sloper Road (next to the HSS Hire Shop). Tickets cost £8 per car. There is parking for coaches, disabled supporters and (for those fans who arrive early) a limited number of cars that are parked at the Stadium immediately adjacent to the away turnstiles (Price £8). Thereafter, there is some further parking for away supporters at Bessemer Rd’s Wholesale Market car park (price £5) which is less than a 5 minute walk away from the stadium.

CARDIFF CITY FC How to get to the Stadium by Train Rail

Walking from Grangetown Station - 18 minute walk

Away supporters should take the train direct to Grangetown station from Cardiff Central. Arriva Trains Wales will be operating a half an hourly service to Grangetown Station which is 1 mile from the Cardiff City Stadium.

Bus The CCFC match day shuttle service runs between the city centre direct to the ground every 20 minutes on game day. After the game buses pick up from the Fred Keenor statue - first bus is 5 minutes after the final whistle and run for up to an hour after the game. Walk/Taxi The stadium is around 1 ½ miles from the City Centre and takes about 30 minutes to walk, please see map for the best route. Or you can take a taxi which should cost less than £10.

Public Houses Away fans are advised to drink in the town centre where pubs are neutral venues (see map above for directions to the city centre from the stadium).


CARDIFF CITY FC Ticketing Purchase Tickets To purchase tickets for your clubs visit to the Cardiff City Stadium, please contact your clubs ticket office which will have a set allocation of tickets to sell for the upcoming fixture. All away fans please enter the stadium via entrance 7 which is situated off Sloper road next to HSS hire.

How to use your ticket to get into the stadium l Check your ticket for which turnstile you need to go to l One you approach the turnstile make sure you have your ticket ready l Place the ticket into the reader l Make sure the bar code is under the scanner l Once the light goes green proceed through to the stadium and enjoy the match l If the light goes RED please notify a steward who will assist you

During your visit to Cardiff City Stadium, we have a variety of activities going on to ensure each fan has the most enjoyable match-day experience possible. Activities in the away end include: l Highlights Package – A highlights package of your club will be shown on the TV’s in the concourse of the away end. l Posters – We put up posters around the way end, specific to your club, to thank and welcome you to the Cardiff City Stadium as we really do appreciate your support. l Staff wearing your club shirt – Our staff at the stadium will be wearing your club shirt when serving you! These shirts are donated by the club, which are then passed on to the travelling youngsters after the game. l Food – Where possible we try and cater food which you would normally enjoy at your own stadium. Let us know what you would like to see.

To help away fans enjoy their time here at the Cardiff City Stadium, we have a ‘Get on with the Match’ liaison officer. They will be on hand to deal with any questions or problems you may have during your visit and can be found in the away area. Your Liaison officer’s name is Debbie Thomas. We also have dedicated Disabled Liaison officers on hand to assist disabled supporters alongside a number of stewards will also be present in this area and will be happy to assist you.
