AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL THIS MAY Dear valued Guest, Greetings from the Heart of Saigon! As we enter the second quarter of 2020, I think we can all agree that this has been a few months that we are glad to put behind us. Whilst many countries around the globe are still working hard on their COVID19 fight, we start to see a little light at the end of the tunnel here in Vietnam. With low to zero numbers of daily reported cases for a couple of weeks now, Vietnam starts the process of lifting social distancing restrictions and the view of normality starts to show. Schools have started to reopen this week and we here at the Caravelle have been able to reopen our doors to Café de l’Opera on the ground level and Reflections Restaurant on the third floor. Café de l’Opera is open daily from 7:00am to late, so plenty of time to grab a great cup of coffee and a view of the newly improved Lamson square. Reflections is open from 5:30pm daily with a brand new menu featuring Chef Ivan’s signature dishes, my personal favorite is the homemade squid ink spaghettini with a spicy crab sauce. Unfortunately the borders still remain closed so for our guests living overseas you will have to wait a little longer to come visit, however for those of you that are currently in Vietnam we have some great promotions on our rooms to offer a great Staycation opportunity. Our Book Deluxe, Stay signature is available to be bookable till 31 May, which allows you a free guaranteed upgrade to an signature room with full access to our newly opened Signature Lounge when you book a deluxe room through our website caravellehotel.com. Or for those of you that want to make use of our outlets, our Stay & Savour package is for you, book for a minimum of two nights and receive a $50USD credit to use in Food and Beverage throughout the hotel. Both of these packages are a perfect surprise for a loved one, or a great way to get together with a few friends for a weekend away. Remember Mother’s day is coming up Sunday May the 10th. Over the past couple of months our teams have been busy working on tweaking our current activities and working on new promotions and menus, whether it be for our restaurant and bars or for our ballroom and events spaces all of which is ready to go as soon as the regulations are relaxed and we are allowed to open again. We here at the Caravelle feel it is incredibly important to keep our guests updated and will continue to send out updates as our operations open, so stay tuned for our updates over the next few weeks. However if you have any questions please feel free to contact us via Facebook or through our contact us page on the hotels website and we will be happy to assist. If you are one of our Caravelle Classic Club members, now is the perfect time to redeem those set menus vouchers at Reflections or even pair it with your complimentary night voucher and experience our updated rooms and facilities. If we can’t see you this month, wherever you are in the world, from all of us at the Caravelle we wish you a safe and healthy month of May. From the Heart of Saigon, Michael Robinson General Manager
