The Clinic Manager reports to the Physician Executive (comprised of three physicians) and is accountable for the administrative management of a team of approximately 45 staff and 19 physicians. Smith Clinic also operates a walk in clinic (separate from its Duggan Mall location) as well as an Aesthetic Clinic (attached to the main clinic). Key Responsibilities •

Day-to-day supervision of staff and oversight of clinic operations

Recruitment , training, and performance evaluation of clinic staff

Development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures

Development and implementation of pay scales, job descriptions, and personnel policies

Lead communication processes within the clinic, including regular clinic meetings for staff, physicians and shareholders

• Oversee scheduling, payroll and timekeeping functions of all staff. Administer Employee/Physician Benefit Plan •

Serve as key liaison between clinic and external agencies, i.e. St. Mary’s Hospital, Camrose Primary Care Network, Homecare, etc.

Lead the development and implementation of strategic direction, goals and objectives

Identify and develop opportunities to improve business and clinic performance

Oversee maintenance of clinic facility

Oversee tenants and manage invoicing and receiving of rent

Acting Privacy Officer for the Clinic – ensure maintenance of operations in accordance with the Health Information Act

Previous experience in managing the operations of an office, branch or business where there are complexities and ambiguity, but where results, leadership, and collaboration is critical to success

Positions work rotating shifts of days, nights, graveyards and some weekends.
