A history of Camp Dudley as told through its postcards
The Camp Dudley Archives Presents The Postcard Collection Early in the 20th century, Camp Dudley began a tradition of making postcards with photographs of Camp scenes and activities. Assembling this collection was initiated several years ago by #10003 Mike Bartlett and #8704 Bill Combs. After their patient research and occasional anonymous ebay bidding wars, many of the cards presented here were turned over to the Camp archives. Since January 2014 still more cards have been added to the collection, all of which have now been catalogued and digitized. They are presented here for your information and enjoyment. Many of the postcards had no date, but by careful examinations of the photos we tried to determine the correct decade for the imagery. Should any of you know more exact dates or you determine that we have the wrong date on a card, please let #10555 Dave Langston (d ave@campdudley.org ) know so corrections can be made. Also, if you have postcards that you don’t see in the collection, we hope you’ll consider contributing them to the Camp Archives for the collection.
