ALWAYS ACCESS THE FRONT ROW The Volvo Ocean Race is the World's longest professional sporting event and leading offshore sailing competition. As a Freelance Photographer and because of my relationship with sailing boats, I thought that it would be a nice chance to get involved in this adventure, shooting photos. So, it was time to try out the Camerapixo's Press Card. Artur and Anetta showed great support for my project and backed me up with everything needed in order to obtain from the Volvo Ocean Race organization, my accreditation as a Media Independent Photographer for the event. All media facilities were there for my use and I've met all kind of interesting people and great artists. My accreditation always enabled me to access the front row, where the action was taking place. Thank you Camerapixo for your support!

The inspiration comes from many artists and it doesn’t matter if they get through to Michał by the sense of vision or hearing He can tell that music has the biggest impact on his work. It’s an inseparable element with pictures in his mind, a kind of sound illustration to a visible scenery. These two things hit Michał with the strongest intensity. Everywhere he is going, always brings camera along. It always, somewhere could be this only moment which he wants to let through his imagination filter. Place, time, memory. When Michał is watching reality he sees this all like through the lens. He sees frames, possible pictures, scenes, compositions, extraordinary places and non-existent worlds. In most of cases Michał know already, in the beginning how he could effect to reality. This is like starting a creative machine right after first sight. First of all is initial picture, after this he creates PHOTOGRAPHER

mood on existing photography with help of some light effects or colors, curves or with deep intervention – photo manipulation, collage with different elements which after mixing they become complete work. Always tries to do this as his best, involving best skills to create picture which will be not far from his first vision and primal inspiration. Each work is processing of existing places so any observant person can find among them familiar parts of landscape. In creating process first of all is thought and idea. After this Michał is searching appropriate elements of composition, places, moments. Very often it’s a long time. Michał still has many projects which have no been realized because of lack of materials, elements. He combines the pictures in one piece from individual pieces taking care of composition and natural looking final effect. He wants everything to be done so anyone could distinguish which was real and what’s montage. Appropriate coloring, shadows, lights, precise cutting and pasting. Some scenes need more intervention to match his vision some less, but always Michał needs to add something from him. Exist-

ing world is not boring, but Michał just wants to show it via his own eyes, filtered by his imagination. Michał wants to show you places which he has already visited in dreams, during meditation and inspired by the music which is the best creator of any fantastic landscapes in his mind.
His goal is extraordinary picture and making a viewer stop for a minute, to influence on emotions and take away from reality For many years, many of people helped Michał to understand that he has chosen the right way for his self realization. It gave Michał an opportunity to show his world and to share it. This is what he is doing, this is what he loves to do and it’s still not everything what he wants to say. THREE DIFFERENT SUBJECTS
YOSHIHIKO WADA JAPAN As well as being a passionate photographer, Yoshihiko is also a professional sound designer, much in demand with the video games industry. Yoshihiko started photography in 2011, just carving for some fresh air. “The game industry is quite hectic. He was constantly stuck in the studio for both making sounds and debagging games whole day long. he was very worn out.” One day Yoshihiko happened to see a piece of waterfall picture which has change his life later. “I was totally enamored with the surreal silky flow. That was the start of my obsession for the long exposures photography.” Yoshihiko eagerly learned and honed his photography skill at a rapid pace.
Now Yoshihiko focuses on three main subjects and characterizes as follows: MASSIVE CRAZY LIGHT TRAILS “One light trail makes your photo cool, and hundreds of them make your photo CRAZY!” Yoshihiko often shoots his crazy shot on a pedestrian bridge, where multiple roads are crossed over. “ I spend hours there with full of exhaust gas. Wearing a mask is most important preparation before shooting.
I wanted to make them something different.” Yoshihiko started to colorize his nightscapes, which was converted to grayscale first. The hint came from an old B&W film; Metropolis (revival colored version). “I remembered the behind scene; they put a color to the original B&W film.” The technique made the movie color, but not so vivid. “I’m so inspired with its warm and picturesque image.”
BLACK AND WHITE FINE-ART Yoshihiko is now much focusing on the genre. “I was shocked when I encountered Joel Tjintjelaar’s “Calatrava-Bridge”, which was long shaped, Zen-like approached photograph. But at the same time I felt something familiar from his b&w works. I found that feeling came from its similarity of suibokuga-painting.”

Suibokuga is a kind of ink wash painting which uses only black ink to the white paper. Yoshihiko’s passed grandma had a passion for the paint, and taught him how to paint during his childhood. “I was too young to like or understand them. But now I finally came to have a passion for Black &White as same as my loving grandma.”

RAQUEL DE CASTRO SPAIN Castro Urdiales, a beautiful village in the province of Cantabria in North of Spain, is where Raquel lives, but she was born in Santurce in 1973. Her relationship with photography began few years ago, it was always something that caught her attention, and above all, it was part of the art, like painting, which has always attracted Raquel.
In her opinion a photograph is not limited to show the scene as it is concerned, if not that it is rather a fusion of the personal vision of the landscape photographer. Personally she thinks that the most important quality of a photograph, as in any art, is to evoke an emotional reaction. BLACK AND WHITE VISUAL ART
GARRY SMITH UNITED KINGDOM Born in 1959 in the industrial north west of England, much of his childhood was spent playing sport or spending time drawing and exploring my artistic tendencies. When the time came to leave school, his dreams of pursuing a career in art were thwarted by parental illness and Gary was thrust into the very real world of trying to find work and make a living in 1970s Britain. Art, in any practical sense, slowly disappeared from life during this time but sport continued to be a prominent ingredient, particularly a love of outdoor sports such as hiking, climbing and mountain biking and remained strong throughout his life until a few years ago when injury finally put an end to it.
With a huge gap to fill, Gary decided to explore that inert predisposition for the visual arts through the medium of photography. Naturally, Gary was drawn back to the landscape and the passion to create images has steadily grown and continues to unfold and flourish. He still feels his vision is far from fully realised but Gary looks forward to what has yet to be revealed.

HOWARD L. SMITH USA Howard was introduced to photography at the age of 10 however for years it remained a hobby, a joyous past time activity, as music was his passion. Some seven years ago photography became his primary creative outlet and with that he brought to bear the same intensity and passion that he did for music. Growing up in rural Connecticut, his mother being very accomplished educator herself led by example and tough he and his three brothers to always strive to give their best to all endeavors in life and to do it with passion. Howard captures images that speak to him on a deep level, he sees beauty and accentuates it with the compositions that he creates.
His interpretation of a scene or subject startles the viewer into seeing certain details, and creates a mood that stirs the viewer’s inner being. Howard seems in tune with nature to the point of bringing it to him in an uncanny way. Whether he is photographing big cats, birds in their natural habitat, or other wildlife, they seem to “perform” for him. Water, clouds, sunlight and shadows seem to dance for his lens which is all in having the patience to wait for the right light, right moment and, allowing the story unfold. It has been said that there are two types of attention – voluntary and involuntary. Howard brings the voluntary attention of a computer programmer to the task of photography.
He is always on a quest for a unique view. His background as a talented musician also plays a part in his ability to track the rhythms of nature, the colors, sounds, textures, and unexpected drama that unfolds when one is patient enough to linger, anticipating new things. Being in nature tends to relax the mind and usually only requires involuntary attention, allowing the mind to reflect. But a concentrated observer such as Howard has the ability to focus at the right times turning what could appear to be haphazard natural phenomenon into thought-provoking brilliance. Howard’s images have been exhibited and published nationally and internationally.

DIVERSITY IN PHOTOGRAPHY
CHO TANG NETHERLANDS Cho was born on March 9th 1986 in Kowloon, Hong Kong. When he was 5, Cho moved to The Netherlands with his family, in search of a new life. Growing up in two different cultures has taught him to be open minded about life. Carrying this mentality to all aspects of his personal life, in good times or bad, Cho tries to find the beauty in the ugly and vice versa. Questions all that he encounters instead of taking things for granted, for Cho believes that it is the questioning that will bring growth and development to his character.
Cho has always been interested in arts, but couldn’t really find a discipline that he excelled in. Liza introduced him to a few online art communities, where Cho got inspired by a few photographers and decided to try it out for himself.
Having been mostly unambitious throughout the majority of his life, it was the stroking of the ego, which Cho received from the positive feedback he gathered from posting photos online, that gave him the motivation to keep developing himself in photography. Each discipline required a different vision in his opinion and every new thing Cho learned in one discipline could potentially be applied to compliment his work in another discipline. After taking photos for about four years, Cho took the chance to start his own business in photography. He knew there was still a lot to learn, but Cho hoped that he would learn new skills and gather new knowledge in the process.
So far so good. Nowadays Cho keeps himself occupied doing mostly interior and exterior photography, wedding photography and corporate photography. However, as he really enjoys diversity in photography, he continues to shoot as broadly as possible. Where this journey will eventually take Cho, he cannot say. What Cho can say however is that it has changed him in ways that none other hobby or activity has done before. For that alone Cho will be forever grateful and hopes his love for photography will never die.
