Christmas Is Coming To Camberwell The annual Camberwell Christmas Family Day will be held on Saturday, December 12. On the day we’ll have roving street performers including jugglers, acrobatic and circus acts, live music, balloon modellers, face painters, Santa’s little helpers handing out balloons and reindeer antlers and more. There will also be free rides on Santa’s antique fire truck. The Where’s Rudolph? competition makes a return this year too – shoppers are encouraged to find Santa’s nine reindeer displayed in shop windows across the Camberwell shopping precinct and if they find a reindeer they can enter the minor prize draw. If they find a poster of Rudolph himself, they could win the grand prize of a $500 shopping voucher.

Christmas stilt walkers will be at the Camberwell Fresh Food Market from 10am – 2pm on December 12 and 19. From December 12 – 19, there will be a fun photo booth in The Well where people can use dress up items and props to take photos and choose to upload them to our Facebook page. A gift wrapping station will also be available in The Well (on December 12, 13, 19, 20, 24) for shoppers who would like to get their Christmas gifts professionally wrapped. Families can visit Santa at The Well on December 12, 19, 21, 22 and view live cooking demonstrations on December 5, 12, 19. Any traders who want to communicate their Christmas activities via our marketing channels should contact Kerry Daly by phoning 9813 4190 or emailing kdaly@camberwellca.com.au

New Camberwell Shopping Website Goes Live A few months ago, our digital marketing agency Assemblo overhauled our website to give it a fresh new look. The re-design takes advantage of people accessing the site on mobile and tablet devices. It features a comprehensive directory of traders and services in the Camberwell precinct and focuses heavily on content aggregation and cross-promotion, aimed at better promoting the area as a shopping destination. The regularly updated homepage showcases the latest news articles, events and offers, making it easier than ever for the association and individual traders to communicate direclty with shoppers. With an even strong focus on organic search and optimisation for devices, our digital traffic has

steadily increased, rising from an average of 10,000 unique visitors a month to 12,000 unique visitors in the last month. Trader pages now feature enquiry forms, which have generated an increase in direct leads to traders, allowing customers to get in touch with traders more easily. Email newsletter signups have dramatically increased on both mobile and desktop, with an average of 20 new signups each week since the launch. Any traders who wish to share news, events, sale information or other offers related to their business should contact Kerry Daly by phoning 9813 4190 or emailing kdaly@camberwellca.com.au Visit the site: camberwellshopping.com.au

Spring Campaign Camberwell On Canvas Camberwell’s two-month spring campaign kicked off with an editorial promotion which incorporated a series of articles on fashion and lifestyle topics on our Style Junction and Camberwell Shopping websites.

Throughout the campaign period we ran a competition asking entrants to select their favourite outfit from our fashion lookbook to go in the running to win a $1000 shopping voucher. The activity boosted traffic to our websites and social media platforms and resulted in extra sign ups to our eNewsletter database. The aim was also to position Camberwell as a premier shopping destination for spring and encourage more shoppers to the precinct. The Camberwell on Canvas annual art show has returned to Camberwell for 2015 and showcases the talent of local artists in shop windows. Artists ranging from juniors and amateurs to professionals were allocated a store and invited to submit their interpretation of the theme ‘Art to match a store’. The Camberwell Centre Association created this community event to help promote the unique businesses up on ‘Burke Hill’ as well as provide a forum for art lovers. The Association provides the canvases and allows the artists to sell their art, if they wish to. People can vote for their favourite art works to go in the running to win one of two $50 shopping vouchers to spend in Camberwell. The show runs from November 15 - 30 and is designed to attract new shoppers to the area, help build a sense of community and show the shopping precinct’s involvement in supporting an upcoming generation of artists.

Running a special promotion or event? Be sure to let us know so we can help promote it.
