“Lisbon Business Connections� is a series ofmeetings where we periodically receive high level representatives of the most important companies installed in the Lisbon Region and Portugal to work with them on projects of mutual interest.

Lisbon executive meetings with Top Managers of Global Companies. Building a NetworkPowered Growth Engine for Lisbon.

The Lisbon Business Connections fit into the strategic and systematic program of the Lisbon Municipality to strengthen dialogue and joint working between the council and the actors who are relevant to the business economy of the city of Lisbon. The project began with a series of executive meetings with multinational companies allowed to initiate a process of conversation and strategic planning between the city of Lisbon and a diverse set of business actors, promoting the internationalization and competitiveness of the economy of the city of Lisbon, a regional and global scale.

Have been held so far 5 Lisbon Business Connections, involving more than 80 multinational companies.

A New Vision For The City The new Lisbon’s Master Plan We work with several different partners to create the conditions for the city to be attractive to investors. Some important cornerstones of the new Master Plan: much more investor’s friendly, and several fiscal and edification incentives for rehabilitation projects.

We have created a state of the art business incubator “Startup Lisboa” - which is receiving high attention from business Angels and international venture capital funds. This new incubator it´s the central node of a network of incubation spaces, some streamlined by the municipality and others of private nature, representing a strong focus of the city in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation. But “Startup Lisboa” is not just one more incubator. It´s an incubator with special characteristics: it results of the will of the citizens who had voted for it in the Participatory Budget, a public initiative promoted by the Municipality of Lisbon;

In Mercado Forno do Tijolo in being implemented a FabLab, providing a new rapid prototyping lab serving businesses and giving to the city another important tool for innovation. The project was presented in March 2012 and the partner entities are Lisbon City Council, the Iberomoldes the CENTIMFE e AIP-CCI. Recently the project received another strategic partner: Corticeira Amorim.

Lisbon will have a new coworking space, an initiative of the city council. The Lisbon City Council has launched a public tender for the concession of a limited part of the Mercado Forno do Tijolo which will allow the construction of a new coworking space.
