msm summer 2014 | Calvary Church | 5th—8th Grade

CALLING ALL MASTER BUILDERS Every day we are being built into—and where we decide to invest our time, what voices we listen to and how we choose to view the world determines who we will become. Not to mention we are building into the world around us each day, too. This summer all 5th-8th grade students are invited to join us on an adventure of epic proportions as we discover and become more like God, the Master Builder. We will engage in exciting activities with leaders and other students to give us opportunities to build into one another. In addition, we will study the book of Psalms on Sunday mornings and gather for a special Wednesday morning Bible study for 7th and 8th grade students, giving God an opportunity build into each of us. Each and every week this Summer we will be challenged to go on an adventure of a lifetime to discover how to become more like Christ in our worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and use of our spiritual gifts. Don’t miss out! Pastor to Students

SUNDAY MORNING MAIN EVENT For thousands of years, the Book of Psalms has provided a voice for God's people to come together and worship the Master Builder. The psalms serve as incredible examples of how we can connect to God and how He connects to us. Throughout the summer, we will dig deep into royal psalms, oracles, pilgrim psalms and much more. You are invited to join us Sunday mornings to build, worship, and discover God through the Psalms and explore how we can become more like the Master Builder.

New, On Your Own Bible Studies

We want to encourage students & their families to go deeper in the Psalms together. You can pick them up at the Main Event on Sundays, or find them online at calvarygr.org.

7TH/8TH BIBLE STUDIES

Wednesdays July 30-Aug 20, 10:30am-Noon No need to register, just show up!

GUYS : Room 109 & Gym

How could God love me? Do you have to do something to earn God's love? Does grace mean I can do anything I want? Many people have a hard time fully embracing the unique and unparalleled message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of God’s love and grace toward us, we can have eternal life and all sorts of blessings today through no effort or merit of our own. That seems too amazing to be true! Join us for dodgeball and a video series by Francis Chan about what grace truly means.

GIRLS : ROOM 207

Messy Stuff: Hope in the Midst of Everyday Struggles Life can be messy. Each week we will gather together for some snacks, nail painting and to chat about life and what God has planned to teach us this summer. We will discover how valuable we are to God, despite our messiness. We will investigate the right ways to handle the stuff that makes life messy and causes our pain and brokenness. And we’ll be encouraged to invite God and other people into the process of change in our lives. We hope you will be able to join us!
