Reach your full potential while making lifelong friends, exploring challenging classes, and learning how to apply your new knowledge to the real world. In the best four years of your life, Cabrini will help you do, join, and become something extraordinary.

what can you do at cabrini ? IN THREE YEARS AT CABRINI, Danton Moyer has helped a professor write a book on the history of baseball. He’s worked on a summer research project as part of the Joseph Romano Undergraduate Research Fund. He’s traveled to London to study theater. For Danton, the real value of Cabrini is the opportunity to have an impact— exactly what he’s done through serving on student government, where he could identify what students need, propose solutions to the college administration, and see results.

Cabrini education is fun that goes beyond the classroom. Here, you get to think outside of the box, applying what you’ve learned to real-world problems. Turn knowledge into action to boost awareness about hunger in America, research immunology in earthworms and apply it to cures for disease in humans, or build houses and safe stoves along with the Mayan people in Guatemala. Whatever you want to study, whether it’s biology or education, finance or communication, you’ll apply new ideas, build skills, and get career-ready at Cabrini—and you’ll have fun doing it.

WANT TO GET OFF CAMPUS? Cabrini’s location offers everything— and we take full advantage. Our Fast Track to Philly lets you easily take advantage of everything the city has to offer. New York City is only two hours away. If it’s shopping you’re interested in, we run a shuttle to the King of Prussia Mall, one of the largest in the country.

THERE’S A WORLD OUT THERE. GO EXPLORE IT. Starting as early as the second semester of your first year, you can take advantage of our many studyabroad programs. Whether you want to explore China, visit the Czech Republic, or spend a semester at sea, we’ve got the programs. You can choose from semester- and yearlong programs, summer trips, and weeklong study-abroad courses. Broaden your horizons. Immerse yourself in another culture. Go experience the world and change the way you see it.

COLLABORATE. RESEARCH. REPEAT. Collaborative research with faculty on serious projects is huge—so huge that we run a campuswide Academic Symposium to showcase it all. You’ll find opportunities in every major and discipline. That experience pays off, not only in our students’ learning but in the scholarships and acceptances they receive from premier graduate programs.

HAVE A PASSION FOR DISCOVERY? COURTNEY DOES. While at Cabrini, she’s interned at the Philadelphia Zoo, working with zookeepers caring for and training animals. Then she applied those skills in a biology research project she designed herself, which included socializing and training a guinea pig for a special education classroom. She’s led a service immersion trip to New Orleans and traveled to Ecuador to serve communities there. And she’s spent six weeks in Ireland studying international business and Irish culture. At Cabrini, if a passion drives you, we’ll fuel it.

It’s really easy to build relationships with professors here, and it’s really easy to go to them for anything. I heard Dr. Coleman talking to another professor about getting a therapy animal. I saw an opportunity for me to train it, because I just had an internship at the Philadelphia Zoo. So I brought it up to her and we turned it into an undergraduate research project.” COURTNEY MCGONIGLE ‘16 Maple Shade, NJ, Biology/Pre-Medicine major

WHAT CAN YOU DO AT A SCHOOL THE SIZE OF CABRINI? EVERYTHING. For Francesca, Cabrini was perfect—big enough to discover lots of opportunities, small enough to get involved and be a leader. That’s exactly what she’s done. She’s represented Cabrini as a student ambassador, helping prospective students learn more about the College and tour the campus. As part of the Honors Program, she’s pushed herself and others intellectually. She’s been a cast member in Cabrini’s production of “Lucky Stiff” and experienced acting in a black-box theater. And she’s done all this in just her first year.

Cabrini is a very diverse school that opens your mind to so many ideas and different types of people.” FRANCESCA DIGREGORIO ’18 Glenolden, PA, Psychology major

What I love most about teaching at Cabrini is the ability to get to know and work closely with my students. I find that I learn so much from them and with them. DARRYL MACE, Ph.D. Associate Professor and Chair, History and Political Science

LOOKING TO DEVELOP YOURSELF AS A LEADER? We’ve got leadership opportunities that will help you discover your abilities and refine your skills. You can be a resident assistant, diversity leader, member of the Campus Activities and Programming Board, or club leader. You can even fully immerse yourself in leadership opportunities through the Nerney Leadership Institute, which hosts leaders from around the country, or participate in LEADStrong, our leadership certificate program.

l i ving . learning . t o gether . OUR LIVING AND LEARNING COMMUNITIES are one of the many options Cabrini provides to help you connect with other students and faculty who share your interests. Explore theme-based topics throughout the year in groups of up to 20 like-minded students. You can choose a theme such as body image, or human rights, or film, media, and theater. Your group will live on the same residence hall floor, take classes together, and engage in other activities on and off campus.

The Learning Community I joined in my first year definitely made my transition to college a lot easier and a lot smoother. I was with the same group of students throughout the semester for my intro-level classes to my communication major. Just learning with them every day, getting to know them, built a sense of camaraderie. HOWARD BLAKE III ’15 Newark, DE, Communication major

of Cabrini students receive financial aid

FINANCIAL AID We offer aid in the form of merit scholarships for high school academic performance, SAT/ACT scores, and extracurricular activities in addition to need-based aid based on each family’s financial situation. But financial aid is just one of the ways we make Cabrini affordable. We offer opportunities for students to earn their degree faster—high school students can take college-level courses while they’re juniors or seniors in high school, and students in some of our joint programs can shave a year off their undergraduate program while taking classes toward a graduate degree.
