COMPANY & CONCEPT Vite is an online and in-store retailer of new and used automotive replacement parts and accessories that offers roadside assistance. Vite is French for fast due to how quickly a person’s car is back running smoothly. Whether it is a simple fix, like wipers or light bulbs, or a more serious issue, like a bad battery or malfunctioning starter, Vite has the best replacement auto parts and service to get you back on the road. Vite Auto Parts occupies an 36,000 square foot space divided between two floors located in Austin, Texas. In order to differ from a typical work space environment, the design promotes group work as well as individual productivity. Areas to occupy range from private decompression zones to open and inviting work cafes/areas. The design of the building was inspired by the likeness of auto shops by using limited color and exposed materials such as steel details, concrete floors, and wood.

GOALS INTAKE: The overall assessment of the workspace is inspiring, organized, and functional. COMPRESSION: Showcasing the value of good design by utilizing the space to fit as many employees as possible in a comfortable yet productive environment. POWER: Workers are happier and more productive when they have control over their workspace. EXHAUST: Employees can relax and decompress in quiet room and sit comfortably in their easily adjustable work stations. COLLABORATION: Design encourages sharing ideas and resources and promotes teamwork.
