SALA COLA DELL’ AMATRICE - ASCOLI-PICENO Next to the Main Cloister of St. Francis, the Sala Cola dell’Amatrice has served many purposes over the course of history, including religion, folklore and city life. In the historic center of Ascoli Piceno, next to the monumental Church of St. Francis, located in the east wing of the former convent, lies the Sala Cola Dell’Amatrice, which can be accessed through the Main Cloister. Today’s hall is certainly smaller than the original one, which, in the Middle Ages, served first as the church’s Chapter House and later as the Oratory of Corpus Domini. When the hall became a possession of the Italian State, it whaving lived lives and experiences similar to those of Jesus Christ. But when the original ceiling was lowered and covered with vaults, the frescoes, no longer visible, were forgotten. In 1872, the artist Giulio Cantalamessa, while inspecting the cavity between the old and the new ceiling, realized the value of the paintings and suggested that they should be removed. After having been long kept in the parish hall of the convent, Cola’s frescoes have been carefully restored and placed where they were meant to be. Since March 2012, the public have been able to enjoy the five works back to their original location.

Friendship through Art can change the World Peacefully CA4S-AthensArt is a non-commercial and non-profitable International Artists and Art Lovers Community. There are no fees either for inscription or participation in all Events, in Greece and abroad. Our philosophy is based on the “Positive Side of Life”, as well as in the “Power of Friendship” that can change through Art the World peacefully. For the last 30 years, the Centre of Arts 4 Seasons (CA4S) created various cultural Events like “Kavafia”, “IaponiaJapan-Japon”, “Multispectacle 4 Seasons”, “Multispectacle Aristophanes Androgyne”, Philanthropic Art Exhibitions in Greece and abroad, published books and produced CDs, organized numerous Conferences, etc. In the year 2010 we realized our first International Arts Festival AthensArt, in collaboration with the Cultural Organization “Technopolis” and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the City of Athens, with the theme “The Positive side of Life” and “Friendship through Art can change the World”, and participation of 300 artists from 5 Continents and 65 countries of the World. FROM BARBARITY TO A HUMAN SOCIETY Dearest Friends, The last 250 years, through the three, so-called, Industrial Revolutions, Markets showed us their ugliest face, destroying a whole Planet, which needs -according to environmentalists- at least 200.000 years to recover. Markets also destroyed, without any hesitation, our emotional home almost completely. To succeed in this “task” the only thing needed was to keep us hypnotized, as we already were, twisting the meaning of the words we use in our everyday communication using for their purposes an egocentric money- oriented education without any humanistic principles and values. In other words, to keep us “donkeys overloaded with books” but without any essential Knowledge, means canaille in a state of hallucination instead of educating primarily our hearts. Markets, knowing the unstable mental state of the great majority of earth population, were never interested in introducing Emotional Education & Therapy, developing, instead a gigantic sex industry and a psychiatry of repression Embryo and Child mistreatment through parents and teachers, even sexual abuse, was and still is a forbidden to talk about issue. But why in Reality? I think because mentally healthy people are not welcome by the barbaric economy of Markets, in other words people with a tidy emotional home will never ever accept the reptile behavior of markets. Knowing that, markets are now trying, in addition and ahead of the 4th industrial revolution to seduce us with UFO, space ships, anthropoid robots etc, announcing without any shame that, after occupying the Moon, they will soon start to exploit the Planet Mars. Should I mention, among many, the Italian Professor Carlo M. Cipolla, should I mention the German philosopher Dr. Michael Schmidt Salomon, should I mention the well-known astrophysicist Albert Einstein, who all of them spoke about the endless stupidity of the human race??? Knowing that every 500 years the social system changes, either we like it or not, our only hope lies on the number of people who develop, in this period of crisis, Free Will. This is our duty, because through the presence of Great Individuals, such as Pope Francis and Dalai Lama, as well as through Real Friendship and True Art that we represent in AthensArt, the number of people with Free Will may increase efficiently, creating, finally and beyond all difficulties, a human society full of Love and Kindness. Always with Love and Friendship... Dr. Takis Alexiou, CA4S-AthensArt Chairman, Athens, April 2022

KARIN BAUER Karin Bauer, born in 1959, attended medical studies at the University of Vienna and was specialized in Internal Medicine. She is still working in a public hospital in Vienna. Her initial occupation was analog photography and since 2011 her intense occupation is digital photography. From 2011 to 2013 she participated in preparatory classes to become a professional photographer, in Vienna, including Lightbox Academy, (Robert Pichler, Vienna). From 2013 to 2015 she studied applied and artistic photography at the Prager Fotoschule in Linz and graduated with diploma on the subject of street photography - “Walk’n Street”. Since 2015 she has participated in numerous group exhibitions in national and international galleries. My photographic interests are mainly the linking of reality and illusion through graphic elements and experimental color compositions as well as smooth transitions from photography and painting through mixed media techniques and digital image processing, abstraction of architectural elements through unusual perspectives and views different from those of the familiar everyday environment. For me, photography is a process of meditation, where I can give free rein to my moods, ideas and thoughts, which often leads the chosen path to a different destination, not only in thought, but also in the real world. I like to experiment with the camera, using double and multiple exposures in the camera itself as well as in digital post-processing. I find visual world, to make it more colorful and cheerful or dark, mysterious and threatening, thus creating special moods and feelings. Mixed media techniques, such as the combination of polaroid emulsion transfer with digital photography lead to unexpected visual impressions. Not to forget the fascination of chance/coincidence, which is an exciting element of my photographic techniques and always surprises me with its creativity.

CHRISTINE CEZANNE-THAUSS Christine Cézanne-Thauss was born in Vienna in 1952, where she lives and works. She graduated in history at Vienna University, but works as a teacher at Primary School. She has been skilled in art for many years and took part in various of local and international exhibitions. The main interests of my life have to do with human beings. Working as a teacher I deal with children, with their sorrows and dreams. Being an historian as well, I´m interested in biographies - especially in those of people, who were prosecuted in WW II. As a paintress, my favorite theme is the human being as well - I did a lot of “dream-pictures”, being rather surrealistic, but also a lot of nude-paintings. In these I specialize on women and their role in our society. I try to show women-bodies in such an art, that the spectator will be confronted with their suppression, pain and sometimes despair. In other nude-paintings I like to show the other side, women know as well: their strongness, powerfullness and magnitude.

HENGAMEH FARAHMAND Hengameh Farahmand, born in Shiras-Iran In 1962, she lives and works in Hamburg-Germany. The most striking element in her painting is the passion for vivid colors and oriental motives, which she explores through the use of a wide range of unique mixed media techniques, resin, alcohol ink, colors pouring & patina art. She often blurs the boundaries between imagination and reality. The surfaces of her paintings are also a very important aspect of her work, the marks and textures and the play of light onto metallic surfaces brings a third dimension to works which often leave viewers transfixed. MANUEL GIACOMETTI Manuel Giacometti loves photography, art and graphics. I have been working as a still and moving image creator for 20 years, along with evolving technology and I have begun to serve myself well as a camera, Photoshop and other programs that I am well acquainted with. I think that the image as well as the sound, the words and the dance are important forms of communication, different ways of transmitting messages of Life. If men did not communicate any emotion it would be forced to die in our minds. Creating a feeling of having something that can continue to live and develop in the one who also notices, like a creature that speaks for itself and its creator, sometimes loudly, sometimes softly, almost not wanting to disturb anyone, but always with the enthusiasm and love of life that put a flower that has just blossomed to the test. The sense of every artist who works with the media today while maintaining the stylistic rigor that allowed yesterday’s results is fundamental: emotions.

GIULIANO GIULIANI Giuliano Giuliani is an artist who lives and works in Italy. In his artworks we find indefinite atmospheres, far from the constraints of time, a combination of sensitive life and intuitions that nourish creativity. Spaces shaped by color, shapes enclosed in curved lines, in this apparent simplicity, images develop that make us discover a subtle common thread between mind and heart. Giuliano captures the enigma of women and translates them into pictorial, rhythmically chromatic musicality, with bright colors to tear us away from the gray of everyday life with limitless creativity, with a kaleidoscopic effect, on the canvas.

EVA GSTÖTTNER Eva Gstöttner was born in 1952 in Vienna, Austria. I worked in Brussels, Madrid and Vienna within international companies. After my retirement I dedicated myself fully to photography. Being interested in all kinds of themes, I do not restrict myself but try to stay open and learn from the best. I was graduated from the Prague Photo School of Applied and Artistic Photography. I have been taking pictures since I was 14 and my focus is still changing continuously. My photographic goal is always to tell a little story and maybe make a smile or something thought-provoking. Technic perfectionism is not in the foreground but rather the motive, my current mood or that of my human counterpart. “When ice melts between people, new friendships can emerge!”

MONICA IATROU Monika Iatrou is a painter who lives and works in Vienna-Austria. Albert Schweitzer work “Reverence for life” is her view of daily living, including the protection of environment and species and a critical view of the development of society which is part of her life and work, focusing on fine arts, ghostwriting, cultural management and projects. She particularly criticizes inappropriate livestock farming methods as an inacceptable development, which, on the other hand also represents a corporate image whose lack of respect is manifested in many ways, especially in dealing humans behaviours with themselves. She prefers strong colors, especially red as it represents the blood of life. She usually does not give any title to her paintings, because she believes that: “The less we get influences from outside, the stronger is our own perception.” Since 2002 she presents her works in numerous group and individual exhibitions in public institutions, cultural centers and museums in Austria as well as in New York, Athens, Germany, Spain and Mexico. BARBARA MARCUCCI Barbara Marcucci was born in Milan, Italy in1976. “Osservare (to observe), Respirare (to breath), Ascoltare (to listen). These three words in Italian, reading the first letter of each, form the word ORA (NOW). Since I was a child I loved every single Breath that gave me the opportunity to grasp the Beauty, which surrounds our lives, through the spirit of observation and listening. I have always lived this way, a natural instinct that has allowed me, through art, to express my gratitude to life”.
