Welcome! I’m so happy you’ve stopped by. First and most important, congratulations on your growing business. It’s such an exciting time, but more business can also be overwhelming when it comes to editing. I’m also sending you a big high-five for wanting to outsource your editing. Hiring a private editor is a very important and intimate decision. You’ll be allowing this person to handle your client’s precious images and trusting them to do so with consistency, professionalism, and respect for your personal style. So... we should probably get to know each other a little.
Since 2013 I have been a full time documentary photographer focusing on birth stories. I love telling stories of the first moments of life; the courage, the tears, and of course, the babies. Because of the unique and unpredictable nature of Birth Photography (babies don’t follow schedules, even at 3am) I can only take a couple of clients per month. This leaves me time to enjoy other aspects of photography while spending time with my family. As a working parent I understand the struggle to balance work and family. Lucky for me, editing is one of my favorite parts of the craft. I get lost in it much like someone would by meditating. My goal is to help photographers achieve some of that balance by outsourcing their editing. I get to do something I love, and you get some of your time back. It’s a winwin relationship.
I am a documentary photographer, educator and owner of Carolina Reese Creative Media. Originally, I’m from Colombia, but have lived all over and our family has recently moved to Northern Virginia from Oregon (yup! that’s a lot of driving). I’ve recently discovered the joy of binge watching shows on Netflix and totally understand the addiction. I started in 2008 as an art educator, teaching photography and shooting on my own as my preferred art form. Through the years I’ve worked as a sports photographer and even done fine art photography. Like my students, I experiment with different genres of photography, documenting and sharing stories worth telling.

The photographer/editor relationship works best with a custom tailored and efficient system. So here’s what you get from me, 1-on-1 service. I’ll be the only one touching your images. This ensures consistency and easy communication. You’ll always be able to talk to me personally. We will work together until you can hand your images over to me and know that I will consistently and reliably edit them to your standard. Having worked in different genres helps me remain flexible to learning and meeting your specific editing style.
