breeding of species. Mundomar, your animal park, is located next to the Aqualandia water park and has an extension of 60,000 square metres and landscape features which contribute to creating a park unlike any other. We put on different shows with parrots, sea lions and dolphins plus a variety of activities such as the feeding of sea lions, lemurs and penguins. The underwater viewing of sea lions and dolphins enables visitors to enjoy their interesting exhibitions and learn curious facts about our animals. Other animals we can observe in the park are flamingos, turtles and tortoises, swan, storks, sea lions, seals, otters, different species of lemurs, capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, tropical birds such as toucans, ibis, parakeets, parrots, etc.

BENIDORM PRIDE 2011: PROGRAMME OVERVIEW. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21st. The Pride event gets under way with a themed “Come As You Dare Parade” marching from the Bull Ring to Mal Pas beach in the Old Town. Assembly for the parade starts at 5.30pm (vehicles from 5pm) and will set off at 6pm making its way through Parc de l’Aiguera, with cabaret club Molino leading the parade. Located in the park, there will be two auditoriums. The first will feature cabaret entertainment, with an adjacent bar for refreshment. From this vantage point visitors will be able to watch the parade, and join the parade if they wish. The second auditorium will feature a DJ, and there will be also be a bar available. The parade will pause for five minutes, before moving on to the city hall, where participants will be welcomed to Benidorm’s first pride extravaganza by the Mayor, Agustin Navarro. The parade will then move on at around 7.30pm into Benidorm Old Town, proceeding along the famous “Walking Street” to Mal Pas beach. The parade is scheduled to reach the beach, where the main stage is located, at 8pm. HotMale Radio will be there, broadcasting live. There will then be an opening spectacular provided by Molinos Showbar, followed by Zanzibar Remembered, then a specially produced show staged by Benidorm Palace. There will also be a host of guest acts, the headliner act closing the entertainment for the evening will be Spanish.

stages in the Old Town begin individual shows featuring drag acts and special bands. The satellite stages are located outside Open Mind, opposite Mercadona, and in Constitution Square in front of The Queens Hotel. All stages will have adjacent bar and refreshment areas. Additionally, Dove Park (Parque D’Elche) the designated Womens and Childrens area will be open on Friday from 6pm until 10pm, with live entertainment and amusements, face painting and fun for the kids! Saturday and Sunday open from 12 midday till 10pm. The stages close at 2am. Revellers will then be directed to the host of gay bars and venues throughout the Old Town, many of which have prepared special Pride events and cabaret. The bars will remain open till 6am to entertain visitors all night! At 2am the opening club event “Frenetika” will get the party underway at the Underground 2.0 club in the centre of the Old Town, located opposite Zara in the “C/Gamba”. A dance marquee will be erected outside the club, to cater for those wanting to party outdoors. “Frenetika” will wind up at around 8am. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22nd: The main stage at Mal Pas beach, plus a huge market en route in to the harbour, will open at 12 noon, music will be provided by HotMale Radio until 2 pm, when an entertainment programme, featuring guest Dj’s, local talent and tribute acts will take place until 5pm, followed by a number of well known, and named international acts, that will entertain the crowds until 9.30pm, when the main headline act will perform to close the show.

The beach area closes at 10pm, and visitors will again be able to continue celebrating at the two satellite stages (which close at 2am) before making their way to the BGBA members bars, which will be once again, open all night till 6am. At 2am “Fiesta Blanca” White Party is the highlight of the Pride weekend club parties - Hosted by Gaydar.es and featuring guest DJ’s and vocalists from the Matinee Group – a party with a unique twist... there are TWO different zones – Underground at club level – Above Ground in a tented area in Benidorm Town Centre . Two spectacular parties in one, each with their own unique atmosphere! SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23: The third and final day of the Pride will start at noon with top acts from all over Europe followed by fire works. An after party “Heaven & Hell will be staged at the Underground 2.0 club.
