Luckers is an Assistant Professor/Counselor at Community College of Philadelphia where she serves as an Instructor for the Freshman Orientation Seminar and provides academic, career, transfer and personal counseling for students. Previously, she served as an Assistant Director in the Office of Diversity and Retention at Bloomsburg University, a Transitional Counselor in the Academic Success Program at Shippensburg University and as a First-Year Advisor in the Office of Residence Life and New Student Programs at Miami University. She has presented sessions on race relations, advising, team-building, and self-image. Luckers holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Bloomsburg University and a Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in College Student Personnel; she is pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Leadership at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her community involvement includes being the founder of the Marion Luckers Kidney Foundation and a ministry leader at the Church of Christian Compassion.
