This move also resulted in Auckland Cup Week consolidated into two amazing days featuring the glamorous tradition of Derby Day followed a week later by the excitement and prestige of Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day, creating a must-attend carnival for all Aucklanders. 2017 Auckland Cup Week will also follow this format with Vodafone Derby Day on Saturday 4th March and Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day on Saturday 11th March.
