Fantasy/Science Fiction The Mist-Torn Witches by Barb Hendee (already available) is the tale of two sisters thrown into a world they do not understand but must navigate with special care in order to catch a killer. Orphan sisters Céline and Amelie sell herbal medicines in their apothecary shop while Céline also pretends to be seer, able to read people’s fortunes. They run afoul of a warlord prince and must flee to another province where they encounter a series of murders hey are bid to solve, all because of Céline’s “abilities.” Only by finding this murderer will they be given sanctuary and to do so is to court danger most foul. The Beautiful Land by Alan Averill (June 4, 2013) features the adventures of the brilliant young computer genius, Tak.
