Statement 1. Background Illustration that creates an interactive PDF with roll over popups and buttons. The client is the Tin Hat Bar in Ballard and the subject matter is concerning their $0.69 Taco Tuesday. 2. Target Audiences This will be an online ad, and it will probably call the Tin Hat’s facebook home. The target audience starts at 21 years old and up to mid 40’s. The bar is a place for a broad age group. 3. Objectives The objective for this ad is to bring in new clientele to the business and to further promote their special deal on Tuesdays to anyone who might not already know about it. 4. Obstacles The largest obstacle in this illustration will be to get the overall look at feel st ylized in a way that is reminiscent of the bar as well as appealing. 5. Key Benefit The customer will find out about $0.69 tacos and enjoy a discounted, as well as tast y treat! 6. Tone The bar has a very over whelming and nostalgic feel. The walls and ceilings are covered in old concert posters, juxtaposed with antique lighting, and velvet paintings. Behind the bars rests a collection of random stuff (toys, collectables, random art). These things are all meant to create a fun and playful atmosphere. The illustration must embody this theme of fun and excitement as well as create an appetite. 7. Media The illustration will be shown on the internet, possibly through an email list or via the Tin Hat website or facebook page.

current stopping point: completed graphic with buttons and popups in correct location. to do next: change buttons stylistically as well as popup styles and add text.

Process
for the buttons i created a tapatio hot sauce bottle. it is a staple at the tin hat and most people douse their tacos in it before devouring them.

Process i created a checkerboard pattern behind the taco to emulate the paper that the tacos are served on. I made the pop ups blue to contrast the mostly warm colors in the illustration.

the buttons seemed a bit strange just identifying the items that were in the taco, so i decided to add a bit of humor to them. using the already existing menus i tried to incorporate the sarcastic jokes that are prevalent in the bar.
