The two sides were evenly matched in the opening period, each getting a few scoring opportunities but unable to convert. ► MATCH 11: BRONCOS EARN 1-1 DRAW AGAINST UTAH STATE BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State women’s soccer team finished with a 1-1 draw against the Utah State Aggies at the Boas Soccer and Tennis Complex, in what was the team’s fifth double-overtime game of the season. Both teams were able to keep possession in the opening half, with much time spent in the neutral third of the field. The Broncos did outshoot the Aggies 8-3 in the first period but each teams only put one shot on goal. Utah State was the first team to get on the board with a goal from freshman midfielder Lexie Morgan. The goal came off a free kick from Taryn Rose who sent the ball from midfield into the 18-yard box, where it passed through traffic to the foot of Morgan and into the back of the net. Boise State found its equalizer in the 67th minute when senior Kati Lucas sent a cross from the right corner to the far post, where the ball hit an Aggie defender and bounced into the goal. Though Lucas did not initially put the shot on goal, she is awarded with the score because the defender never had control of the ball.

Kati Lucas led the team in points (15) and goals (7). Utah State finished with 11 shots in the second half, eight of which came after Boise State scored its goal. The Bronco back line also had to fend off two Utah State corner kicks in the last three minutes of regulation. The two teams traded attacks in the overtime periods but neither was able to put home the game winner.
