Junior - Weight Class: 184 Pretoria, South Africa – North Idaho College Previous Experience – Took second at the NJCAA Regional Tournament in 2012 as a member of the North Idaho College wrestling team…qualified for NJCAA Nationals and entered the tournament ranked seventh in the nation at 165 pounds…suffered an injury the first bout of the tournament…finished third at the Junior Africa Freestyle Championship in 2009…placed fifth at the Senior Spanish Grand Prix in 2011. Major – Business

Redshirt Junior - Weight Class: 184 Auburn, Wash. - Auburn High School 2012 NCAA National Qualifier – 184 Pounds 2012 Pac-12 Champion – 184 Pounds 2011 NCAA National Qualifier – 174 Pounds 2012 Pac-12 All-Academic First Team 2011 Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team Redshirt Sophomore (2011-12) – Swartz qualified to his second-consecutive NCAA tournament after winning the Pac-12 Tournament at 184 pounds…went 3-2 at nationals… won his wrestle-in bout and first round-bout before being knocked to the consolation bracket in the second round…picked up one more win before being pinned by Tony Dallago…won 10 of his last 11 bouts heading into the tournament…missed part of the season due to a leg injury…ended the season with a 21-6 record…went 4-0 in dual matches…recorded five major decisions and three wins by fall…finished second at the Cowboy Open, fourth at the Cliff Keen Invitational… named to Pac-12 All-Academic First Team… National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic selection. Redshirt Freshman (2010-11) – Primary starter at 174 pounds for the Broncos….wrestled to his first NCAA tournament appearance with an at-large selection after placing fifth at the Pac-10 Conference Championships…put together a 2-2 record at nationals to conclude the season…finished the season with a 20-16 overall record and a 14-8 record in tournament competition tournament record included a 2-2 finish at the Pac-10 tournament…recorded four wins by fall and another two by major decision…named Pac-10 Conference All-Academic Second Team and National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic. Freshman (2009-10) – Swartz wrestled unattached at four tournaments while redshirting for the Broncos. He finished the season with a 14-3 overall record after earning four top-four finishes. He earned tournament titles with first-place finishes at both the Utah Valley Open and the Clackamas Open. Swartz also placed third at the Inland NW Collegiate and fourth at the Southern Oregon Open. High School - Won the Washington State High School Championship…earned four varsity wrestling letters at Auburn High School in Auburn, Wash…high school coach was John Aiken. Major – Accountancy
