Xpress Branding

| IDENTITY & WEB DESIGN

When I started at Xpress Signs & Graphics, everything from their business cards to their website was outdated, old fashioned, and did not have a determined identity other than the color orange. I redesigned the business card, created an entirely new website (www.xpressks.com) complete with custom graphics found through out, and new marketing materials. This redesign gave Xpress Signs & Graphics a sleek and modern look that can easily adapt to any situation.

Denver Convention Booth | GRAPHIC & 3-D DESIGN

This project was in-house design for employer, Xpress Signs & Graphics. The objective was to design 3-D booth decor in an outdoors Denver Colorado theme. I sourced all the images, scaled them to be full size, engineered the die lines & peg-in-hole locking mechanics as well as designed merit badge themed stickers to be given away as freebies during the convention. At full size, the mountain reached 9 feet tall.

Substrate Look Book

| GRAPHIC DESIGN & LAYOUT

This project was in-house design for employer, Xpress Signs & Graphics. The objective was to design a comprehensive book that showcased the printing abilities of the shop as well as gave an example of how each substrate looked and felt when printed. I came up with what images to use for which substrate, created the display images, on the left side of the book, and designed the substrate pages, on the right side of the book. I also designed a gift-card and gift-card sleeve, but it ultimately got cut from the final version.

Display Graphics Print Catalog | GRAPHIC DESIGN & LAYOUT

This project was in-house design for employer, Xpress Signs & Graphics. The objective was to design a catalog that showcased materials that can be printed or customized and in the environments they could be used in. For example, a dining room environment could have table tents, table graphics, posters, and stanchion displays. I created the overall theme & layout, photo-shopped individual pieces into their respective environments as well as the sample items on the pricing pages. This project has not been produced yet, which is why there is dummy text still in place.

Beer Box Promo | GRAPHIC & PACKAGING DESIGN

This project was in-house design for employer, Xpress Signs & Graphics. The objective was to design a box that would be sent to local breweries as a marketing promotion. I designed a 12-pack box in a Design/Brewery theme as well as a “Rate Your Beer notepad and coasters to go inside.

Nashville Convention Booth | GRAPHIC & 3-D DESIGN

This project was in-house design for employer, Xpress Signs & Graphics. The objective was to design a convention booth in a Nashville theme. I chose a vintage music theme with interactive components for photo-booth-like fun. I designed a 7 foot tall Recording Booth that convention goers could pose with and a giant “Greetings from Nashville” postcard as well as coasters to be given away as freebies.. My original concept featured a pop-up booklet that ejected a “record disc” with a coupon offer on it. However, time ran short and it did not get produced in time for the convention.

Holiday Card Set

| GRAPHIC & 3-D DESIGN

This project was in-house design for employer, Xpress Signs & Graphics. The objective was to design a fun and unique holiday card that would be sent to clients that not only said “thank you but also showed off a skill set they might not have known was possible. I came up with a card pack that had a punch-out winter scene featuring 2 trees, 2 presents, and a reindeer/caribou as well as the standard card. Everything was printed a thin corrugated cardboard.

Dapper Dummies

| BRANDING & LAYOUT

Dapper Dummies is a ventriloquist restoration company owned by Tyler Ellis. He came to me wanting a digital illustration of one of his dummies for his new logo. Never having done digital illustration before, I was a little cautious but soon found that I really enjoyed it. Little by little, I pieced together print items for him including a business card and informational brochure.

George Torres

| BRANDING & WEB DESIGN

George Torres is a California-native draftsman that still believes in doing all his drawings by hand. After seeing his original business cards, I offered to redesign them and give him a brand new look that spoke to the beauty and integrity of his work. Once we got a design on a business card that he liked, he told me that he would really like a website that could showcase his projects while also trying to gain more clients. Though his website, www.torrescustomhomes.com, is still under construction, I mocked up what his front page will look like.

National June Campaign

| GRAPHIC DESIGN & LAYOUT

This project was in-house design for former employer, easyhome Furnishings. On a monthly basis, easyhome would publish a new theme for its stores. The art department and marketing team would gather to discuss potential ideas. My idea for June 2016 was chosen - a psychedelic summer theme. I designed all the vector summer pieces as well as did the layout for the in-store sales pamphlet. My design was used in all easyhome stores nationwide for the duration of June.

National easyhome Campaigns

| GRAPHIC DESIGN

This project was in-house design for former employer, easyhome Furnishings. I assisted in making hand-drawn vector illustrations for an Easter shopping promotional and a ‘Back-to-School’ in-store flyer with an emoji theme.

Character Development

| GRAPHIC DESIGN

This project was in-house design for former employer, B2H Marketing Group. The objective was to design a mascot of sorts to use on the website and on social media posts. I created characters Penelope and Stanley - each having their own “personality.” With the website versions, I kept it very professional and helpful but got to have some real fun with the social media posts and introduced them to photo backgrounds and unique environments. I also made character versions of the employees at B2H to be used on the ‘about us’ page, each unique to the person they are portraying.

Finley

| GRAPHIC DESIGN & LAYOUT

This was a project from when I was in college. The objective was to design a program to get children more involved in real activities and less in computer activities, like apps and video games. I found inspiration from my own childhood when I would pack a backpack with a notebook, pen and pencil, and a small stuffed animal as a companion to properly document all my outdoor adventures. The hexagon brochure was designed for the prospective parents to convince them they needed this set for their child. I designed the die-line for the brochure as well as the pattern and execution of the hand-sewn backpack and stuffed animal.
