The following pages showcase some of Brian Rennie’s considerable work within the fashion industry, from Escada to Gant to Basler and now simply Brian Rennie. During his time in industry, Brian is, and continues to be, recognised as one of the world’s leading fashion designers.
Brian Rennie | Fashion Designer Born in Dundee, Brian Rennie studied at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design in Kent, before completing a Master of Design degree at the Royal College of Art in London. In the same year he began working for Margaretha Ley at the European house of Escada, where he specialized in the design of dresses and the Escada Couture Collections. In less than 10 years, he rose to the ranks of Design Director leading a team of 30 members across all of the Escada product lines – Escada Fashion, Couture, Accessories, Scarves, Ties, Diamond Jewelry Collection, Escada Sport and Escada Sport Accessories. Having left Escada in October 2006 after living in Germany for almost 20 years, Brian took a break and returned to his native Scotland to pursue a number of exciting design ventures. He built his dream house and was looking forward to enjoying a quiet life there. But before long he was approached by many big international fashion brands. In September 2007 he moved to Stockholm, Sweden and started working as a Creative Director with the responsibility of further developing both Gant’s design and marketing concept with a view to strengthening the brand on the international fashion arena. Rennie is a celebrity favorite. He has dressed many of the world’s leading international celebrities such as Jerry Hall, Oprah, Jennifer Lopez, Geena Davis, Halle Berry, Kim Basinger, Jessica Alba, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and Paris Hilton to name but a few on the red carpets. Brian was Creative Managing Director for BASLER from 2011 - 2014 and has now finally founded his own Label BRIAN RENNIE from Autumn 2014.
