Ironwood Nine Woman’s Golf Club Celebrates Halloween With Hollywood Beauties of Past
The Ironwood Women’s Golf Club celebrated Halloween recently with the them spotlighting Hollywood beauties of the past. They are (l-r) Liz Golbach, Chairwoman; Beverly Williams, Gail Garland, Ingrid Child, Joanne Johnson, and the winner Bea Stoner as Mae West. Lunch was catered by Liz Goldback and her husband Frank in Seal Beach. Music of the 50’s played as everyone sang along with a little dancing. The club plays every Tuesday starting at 7:30 a.m.

Vietnam Veteran Tom Tislow accepts Certificate of Recognition from Congresswoman Linda Sanchez after being named Veteran of the Month for November. “It was an honor to meet and recognize Vietnam War veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Tom Tislow, as Veteran of the Month, “ said the Congresswoman. “We owe Mr. Tislow a huge debt of gratitude for the sacrifice and bravery he showed during the Vietnam War. It is my hope that someday we can give Vietnam veterans, like Mr. Tislow, the proper homecoming they deserved, but never received, by establishing an annual ‘National Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day'. The Cerritos resident expressed surprise to his being designated Veteran of the month. He said he was honored. Tinslow joined the Marine Corp in 1966 and was deployed to Vietnam in April 1967 where he served in the 3rd Marine Division. With him is his wife.
