It’s one thing for a company like Coca-Cola to promote some new leed-certified building it has built, but Coke is not really in the construction business. Imagine if Coke was to adopt some sort of open “green packaging” standard for its billions of containers and “green advertising” standards for its marketing materials. This would be much more closely tied to Coke’s core business and brand—and have a much more significant environmetal benefit.
