Sankarshan Kund’s Charisma Braj Foundation creates a majestic site at Goverdhan Parikrama
This sacred kund is mentioned in ancient scriptures but was in a pitiable condition due to accumulated squalor and filth over a long period of time. The foul smell was so strong that the devotees on G o v a r d h a n Parikrama could not bear it. Recently it was inaugurated in a grand ceremony.

Editor's Message Dear Friends and Family, Those of you who have been on the Govardhana Parikrama, will recall the pathetic plight of Sankarshan Kund (Anyor Village). If you go again now, you will be pleasantly surprised to see this transformation. It has been a herculean task to restore this site due to several legal and political reasons. At every stage, hurdles were created to stop us. By the mercy of Giriraj ji, we did not give up. Therefore, it took us 5 years to accomplish the task which could have been done in one year. Thanks to the financial support of Dr. Rameshwar Rao (Hyderabad) and Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation (Mumbai) it has become the most beautiful landmark in Braj, visited by thousands of pilgrims everyday. The inauguration festival of this site was also a landmark in the history of Govardhana. Thousands of Brajwasis and guests from different parts of the world, besides several VVIPs, attended the three day festivities during Sharad Poornima. Now you are welcome to visit this heritage site, have darshan of Dauji (Sankarshan Bhagwan) at the small temple, conduct your ceremonies at the Kalyan Mandapam or take a holy dip in this Kund, which liberates you from all sins. Besides this our efforts to revive many other sites are going on. Frankly speaking, so much work is being done by The Braj Foundation that this newsletter cannot give you even a glimpse of that. We hope you frequently visit our website for more information. Needless to say that this kind of mammoth restoration work cannot be done without your generous financial support. Action in field Restoration of Anjani Kund (Hodal) Haryana Anjani Kund was de-silted by the Braj Foundation in 2008 with the financial support of Gannon Dunkerley Co. (Mumbai). Now it is being beautified with the generous financial support of Engineers India Ltd. This is a historic site associated with the pastimes of Sri Krishna. The beautification of Anjani Kund was started on 14th Oct 2017 with the active participation of local villagers. HH Swami Ravi Puri Ji from Hoshiarpur (Punjab) did its poojan amidst vedic chanting. Sh. Deepak Mangla, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Haryana, was also present on this occasion.
Restoration of ancient Vihar Ghat, Vrindavan
Covered under heaps of garbage and encroachments, this ancient ghat of Yamuna in Vrindavan is now being restored at the initiative and planning of The Braj Foundation, under the HRIDAY scheme of MoUD/GoI. Prior to this, similar work has been done to restore and beautify Karoli Ghat on Vrindavan Parikrama Marg. Also a patch of 2.25 km Parikrama is being restored and beautified under the same scheme.
