YOUR SAFETY

RETURN TO CLASS

RETURN TO STUDENT LIFE

These are a few of the steps we’re taking to protect the wellbeing of the Bradley community. We must all work together so we can have a safe semester on campus. Failure to comply with these safeguards will put the campus at risk and may result in disciplinary action.

Thank you for joining us in doing everything possible to create the best environment for learning during this unprecedented situation. Here are a few of the ways the Bradley community is preparing for students’ return to class.

As this situation evolves, we may implement advanced or heightened physical distancing or other precautionary measures. Here are some of our plans to date:

• All members of the Bradley community must stay home if they don’t feel well. • Students who are selected for the weekly surveillance testing will be tested for free at Bradley’s Health Services. For students who exhibit symptoms or are identified as a close contact with a positive COVID-19 case, their insurance will be billed. In all other cases, students pay out of pocket for the test or visit one of the testing sites in the Peoria area. • Students will be required to practice 6-foot physical distancing and wear face coverings in classrooms, common areas, shared workspaces, labs and any other locations where they may encounter people. • The university will provide students with one reusable face covering. Students should bring multiple others with them to campus. • Students will need to provide their own cleaning supplies for their residences. Cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer will be available for common spaces and classrooms.

• All classrooms have been assessed and assigned a COVID-19 capacity number. • While In-person learning our is plan for the fall semester, I asked all instructors to prepare delivery of their courses in a hybrid style. This highly flexible manner will allow us to meet classroom physical distancing guidelines and students’ potential needs. • All instructors are encouraged to hold virtual office hours and academic advising. • If we must move to a completely online environment during the fall semester, students will be asked to leave the residence halls as we did during the spring. In this instance, adjustments for housing and meal plans will be made accordingly. • If a site is operating, students with internships, practicums, clinicals or student teaching experiences should report as previously assigned. If a student has further questions, they should contact their advisor.

• Students must complete a training module to ensure a thorough and common understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic, its risks and the importance of risk mitigation strategies. • Residence halls will have double occupancy across campus. There will be a limited number of additional single rooms made available. • Residence hall bathrooms will be cleaned regularly and should be limited to residents of the floor only. • Non-Bradley guests, visitors and family members are not permitted in the residence halls with an exception for moving in or out. • Dining halls, food courts and convenience locations will be open with modified operations and hours. • If a fellow student isn’t following COVID-19 safety expectations, kindly ask them to comply. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, will be able to fill out a non-compliance form online.
