LifeStyles Fitness also received a facelift with a fun new logo and branding color! Our Capital Improvement and Referendum Implementation Plans will continue in 2021 with exciting projects that we look forward to bringing you. Some highlights include paving the parking lot and drives at Central Park/Annerino Community Center and new playgrounds installed at the following parks: • • • • •

Youth & Teen Dance Keep in mind: While the dance department offers classes by session, students should take a class for at least one year or more, until the requirements of the next level have been mastered. Participating in a class for just a session or two may not be a sufficient length of time to adequately prepare the student for the next level of training. Please also keep in mind, while ages have been provided in the brochure’s description of classes to assist in the registration process they do not supersede the recommendation of the teacher. Please stay in a level until the teacher recommends advancement. Do not hesitate to request feedback or evaluation from your teacher.

Three Unique Sites...

One Common Goal...

Create a Learner for Life.

The Bolingbrook Park District preschool programs, offered for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age, focus on educating children in a way that makes learning fun. Experienced teachers create a warm, positive educational environment that fosters a child’s natural creativity and curiosity. Children are engaged in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that are aligned with state preschool learning standards. We communicate with kindergarten program administrators in the area to ensure that our curriculum prepares our students for success in elementary school.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS SOON 2B3 PROGRAM

Children 2 ½-3 years old have their first positive experiences in a preschool classroom and become comfortable separating from parents for a regular period of time. Development of social skills, large and small motor skills, and basic curriculum concepts are a part of your child’s day. Diapers and pull-ups are acceptable to begin with, but children should be on his or her way to taking care of their own toileting needs. This class runs 2 days per week.

3 YEAR OLD PROGRAM

This program nurtures a 3 year old’s social and emotional growth, and provides a curriculum focusing on letters, numbers, shapes and colors, and the beginning stages of writing. This class runs 2 days per week. Our 3 Year-Old Preschool Plus Spanish program exposes children to both English and Spanish with regards to preschool concepts.

4 YEAR OLD PROGRAM

Children will strengthen relationships with friends and teachers and begin to understand responsibility as they become more selfsufficient. The curriculum focuses on emerging literacy, math, science, creative art and fine motor skills to prepare children for Kindergarten. Our 4 Year-Old Preschool Plus Spanish program exposes children to both English and Spanish with regards to preschool concepts.

PRE-K PROGRAM

42

The Pre-K program is designed for children 4½-5 years old who are ready for additional time in the classroom. This program takes our 4 year old curriculum to the next level with in-depth exposure to pre-literacy, math, self-expression skills and class projects. Bi-monthly field trips, science lab time and cooking are built into the cost of the class.

Excellent for those with limited joint mobility, restorative yoga relaxes tissues around the joint to reduce pain and movement limitation, while simultaneously calming the student’s mind and nervous system.
