2013: Saw action in all 12 games as a true freshman ... caught two passes for 20 yards – one for 12 yards vs. Temple and one for 8 yards at Washington State. High school: Cowan is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Bobby, who as an AllAmerican punter for the Vandals and who holds most UI punting records. Trent Cowan was a first-team all-Greater St. Helen’s League player as a senior and a preseason all-state selection by the Tacoma News Tribune, and subsequently the paper’s all-state choice at receiver, defensive back and punter. He caught 55 passes for 798 yards as a senior and carried the ball 25 times for 213 yards. As the punter, he averaged nearly 40 yards per kick. He also served as Union’s placekicker. s a senior at Oakleaf, Duckworth had five games of more than 100 yards en route to 1,075 yards on 121 carries, seven of which were touchdowns. Of those five games, four were for more than 150 yards with his career-best a 169-yard outing on 14 carries vs. Buchholz. He also had 10 receptions for 149 yards. As a junior, he had 892 yards rushing on 99 carries with 10 touchdowns, and 15 receptions for 166 yards and one touchdown. He had four games of more than 100 yards as a junior with his best that season, 159 on 21 carries vs. Fernandina Beach.
