welcome to the sale from the Canadian Red Angus Promotional Society

"The more things change the more they stay the same" is a statement that reflects the year 2020, its challenges, and the agriculture industry, and its resilience. The agriculture sector has a long history of dealing with challenges, changing and shifting as the weather, markets, or what ever "comes up" dictates. As we roll into the 48th Red Round Up sale, we are moving full steam ahead with outstanding cattle, people and activities planned for the greatest Red Angus weekend. The opportunity to visit, socialize, and view great cattle is truly the envy of all Breeders of all breeds. Don’t miss your chance to see the enthusiasm of the youth who participate in the heifer calf Extravaganza and in the 2nd year of the 50th anniversary Futurity, as these kids and cattle build towards 2022. Their passion and abilities shine thru in the cattle they present. Oh yes, there is a sale too! The consignors present their best for your consideration and appraisal. The cattle never fail to amaze people with the quality of genetics on offer, and their "return on investment" is irrefutable and time proven. Buy with confidence! As usual, we ask you also support the Canadian Red Angus Promotional Society fundraiser, this year in a little different format. The funds raised help us to promote the breed, including Youth and 4-H awards, Red Angus Tours, and show activities throughout the year. And finally, as we are all aware, Covid is an ever-changing issue so please monitor our webpage, social media, DLMS, or contact any of the sales staff or directors for up to date information regarding the Sale or scheduling. Look forward to your participation in the festivities of the weekend,

Mark Matejka

welcome from First class cattle marketing Welcome to the 48th Annual Canadian Red Roundup Show and Sale. Once again we are very excited to be working along side Bryan Mackenzie and the Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society on this prestigious cattle event. Every year in October the Red Roundup weekend has been the envy of the North American purebred beef industry and the 48th edition of this event will be no exception. This year we are gearing up for the second leg of the $100,000 Junior Heifer Futurity, a new idea from last year that was very well received and gained the attention of many in and out of the livestock industry. We would like to thank all sponsors and people working behind the scenes that have made this new and exciting concept possible. We have a very large number of heifers coming back to compete as bred heifers on their way to becoming part of the $100,000 circle of champions, which will be named at the 50th Red Roundup. We have also seen the Promotion Society "overhaul" their fundraiser, adding some very exciting and streamlined items to it for this year as well as the announcement of the Red Angus Rocks program. This will allow for more junior involvement and will help junior aged people from all over the industry obtain some new and exciting Red Angus genetics. We will also once again be continuing with the highly successful Junior Heifer Calf Extravaganza, which will take place on the Friday of the Red Roundup weekend at the Cow Palace with the Banquet, Frozen Genetics and Fundraiser Auction to follow over at the Pomeroy Hotel. As hard as it is to say, this may be the most exciting Red Roundup to date. Also new for this year is the announcement of the Olds College Red Angus Herd. Consignors from our Red Roundup family have graciously donated 10 heifer calves right from the top of their respected herds. These 10 heifers will be the start of a new and very exciting Red Angus purebred herd at the Olds College. Numerous other Angus members have also

given cash donations that will be used by Olds College to purchase more Angus genetics in years going forward. In exchange for these generous donations the Olds College will be giving sponsorship back to the industry through the Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society. Once again this years offering is nothing short of fantastic. We have compiled an incredible set of live cattle, exciting picks, and frozen genetics from the top of the very best Red Angus herds in Canada as well as the United States for your appraisal. This really is a must see group of genetics that no progressive Red Angus breeder is going to want to miss. On offer in the live cattle section is Bulls, Cows, Bred Heifers and Heifer Calves that will work in programs all over the world. Please study the catalogue in great detail and bid and buy with confidence as the consignors have given you an offering that they can truly be proud of. The opportunities at this sale are endless. Please plan on joining us October 16-18 in Olds for the 48th Annual Canadian Red Roundup Show & Sale. If for any reason you are unable to attend, please do not hesitate to give any one of the First Class team a call. We will all very familiar with the offering and it will be our pleasure to assist you in a very professional and confidential manner. Mark Shologan at DLMS will also be onsite if internet bidding is what you prefer. I hope everyone has a great fall and I hope we can all visit in Olds at the Prestigious Red Roundup weekend, an event that is truly envied all around the globe. Regards,

Darnell Fornwald

welcome from Bryan & Sherry Mackenzie Welcome to the 48th Annual World’s Premier Red Angus Event called the Canadian Red Roundup! Just the mere mention of the name Red Roundup conjures up all different sorts of mental images. And, for sure, different recollections for all of the different folks that have ever been to a Red Roundup venue over the course of time. Red Roundup has a variety of meanings for each individual depending on their level of involvement in the proceedings. If you do not have a favorite memory or at least one that brings a smile to your face you aren’t trying very hard to remember. As most of you are aware by now, Darnell and I, along with the Board are working on a huge event in a couple years’ time. Everything we are doing right now concerning Red Round Up is leaning in that direction. Not a day goes by it seems for the better part of the whole year that we don’t touch on something related to this weekend. I remember relaying the experience I had working on the World Angus Forum team way back on April 1, 2004 – this was our very first planning session for the bid proposal to host the Forum in Alberta! That day it seemed like a long way off to get to the event in July in 2009…but it was upon us before we could blink or turn off the light!! This will be very similar to our big celebration in 2022 - the 50th Golden Anniversary of Red Roundup. Let me tell you it is shaping up to be one truly amazing event. All of us involved in this process are super enthused about the 2020 event. You will notice we have made some big changes this year to all aspects of the weekend. There is a lot of moving parts, so these changes were necessary to accommodate all our planned activities. The barn itself and sale ring setup may look a little different this year, but the old Red Round Up buzz or feeling will be nothing sort of spectacular I assure you. Friday we are going into our 5th year of hosting the Youth, gathering them with the Extravaganza as the focal point. Over the last 4 years, we have given away just short of $130,000 in monetary aid to give these young people a hand up in our breed. Last year alone the total was $49,000 in sale vouchers. Much to everyone’s delight I am sure; we have totally revamped the Friday nights’ fundraiser – formally known as the Red Round Up Semen Auction. We think you will like the new ideas in place in 2020…short and sweet! The frozen section features a pretty phenomenal set of exclusive bulls semen this year. The set of sale cattle we have selected this summer is nothing short of remarkable, it just keeps getting better and better. Our consignors just know by now what kind it takes to get selected for this book. The quote unquote "hiding of the good ones" …is a thing of the past!!

**Attention Junior kids and Junior kids’ parents – you may want to give an extra glance at the newly formed Pair of Heifers Show on Sunday as well. If you have purchased a heifer for the $100,000 Futurity last year, you can match her up with another heifer calf from this year’s line up of calendar year beauties to compete for that cash prize. Keeping in mind you may also want to shoot for the final year category of "Owners Herd" competition. Rumor has it there just may be a $10,000 prize up for that class as well. Last but certainly not ever the least…our sponsors! It takes a whole concerted effort on the sponsors part to make this event happen with their support. Sherry and I, from MSM, just want to convey our enormous gratitude to you all…Thank you so very much! Especially the $100,000 Futurity Sponsors: Alta Genetics – Terry White Angus World – Dave Callaway Bullseye Inc – Tom McNeely CRAPS – Mark Matejka Canadian Angus Assoc – Myles Immerkar DRI – Adam Schierman, DVM Diamond T Solutions - Rob Smith DLMS – Mark Shologan First Class Cattle – Darnell Fornwald Olds Regional Ex – Tracy Gardner Pomeroy Inn – Randal Stockall Each of them are investing $10,000 of their own hard earned dollars to fund this youth oriented initiative. Now, on a very personal note, I would like to convey our own special congratulations to the Breeder of the Year Award winner. Way to go Jeff, Nancy and Jack on this achievement, much deserved and long overdue! Whether this year will be your first time attending our beloved Red Round Up spectacular weekend event, or your umpteenth…don’t miss out! It has weathered all storms thrown its way. It is well worth the effort to be here with Darnell and crew, Sherry and myself, and all our very capable, dedicated staff. Call any of us listed if you have any need of our assistance or consultation. Yours Faithfully, Bryan and Sherry Mackenzie

Donation Heifer Auction Procedure

1. The final bid in each round will denote the amount of that bidder’s donation. Example: Round 1: Final Bid is $300 to John Doe. John’s donation is $300 Round 2: Final bid is $250 to Tom Jones. Tom’s Donation is $250 Round 3: The female is re-auctioned until no further bids are received at the low of $10 2. Each $10 purchased (donated) represents one chance in the final draw, e.g. John Doe has 30 chances, Tom Jones has 25 chances and so on down the scale to the final $10 donation worth one chance each. 3. One ticket for every $10, bearing the contributor’s name will be put into the draw barrel. 4. At the end of the sale, one ticket will be drawn with that person winning the heifer.

8

It is an honor to be asked to send the Donation heifer to Red Round-Up for 2020. We felt it only fitting it should be a Blackbird. The Blackbird cow line, combined with the Buckeye, is very similarly bred to our sale consignment. 52H’s mother, 6E, went through the Red Round-Up sale selling to Maple Ridge Acres Red Angus. We jumped at the opportunity to purchase 6E back at the Maple Ridge Dispersal a few years back.

No matter what herd you tour you will find cow families that can just get it done. This Serebl cow family is one of the cow families here at WRAZ that can get it done. Morgan Dyke added Serebl 69G to the JAS Junior program last year at this sale (Serebl 760T is donor dam to 69G and Grand dam to 200E). I understand Morgan recently won Reserve Champion with her, way to go Morgan! Some of you may remember 200E at side of her dam Serebl 57W at our Annual Pride of the Prairies Female Sale in Saskatoon. They were a choice lot there and Devin Warrilow was the winning bid that day and chose her dam 57W for his donor pen. Serebl 200E is a moderate made, easy fleshing female very appealing to the eye. Her pedigree is stacked with proven genetics known to produce well and maintain their structural integrity well into the future. Here is a great opportunity to start a program or start a new proven cow family in an existing program!

These Roulette 5D females are proving to be very special. Roulette 5D is a black red carrier sire we own with CAMO. He has a very solid black pedigree with proven calving ease. Daughters are now in production with nice smaller teat size and good udder attachment - they are doing a great job. His black dam Blackwillow 12A has recently been added to the CAA Elite dam list with an average ratio of 107. Couple this with the strength of this Serebl cow family and who knows where it could take you. Serebl 132H is a little younger being a March born heifer that we feel has a very bright future. If you would rather choose the sire to have your Serebl bred to then this open female may be the choice for you! I have great confidence in her.

Red Crowfoot Blackbird 6125S - Dam

Daughter of Blackbird 1624

When selecting genetics for Red Round-Up annually, the common theme that seems to be tossed around the water cooler is, "what Bryan wants, Bryan gets." It took only seconds for this maternally driven, exquisitely designed cow to get the nod for her spot to stand alongside the nations most astute Red Angus cattle and breeders when we mentioned "oh, she’s outta that great 6125S cow’. Phenotypically she’s hard to fault with a picture perfect udder, dark, square feet, a big soggy rib cage and that elegant Angus character to her head. Now switch to her genetic makeup, there are few females in the breed that carry the visual presence of the Red Crowfoot Blackbird 6125S. A past Red Round-Up $25,000 high selling female, she raised offspring to astute cattlemen like Circle G, Golden Sunset, J Lazy A, Earl Harriman, Nine Mile, Service Berry Red Angus and Olton Farms. Blackbird has crushed the cover off the ball in her young production record with the crowd favourite Red Six Mile High Caliber 177C daughter in last years Red Round Up to LeeLynn Fornwald and a Authentic son this year that is going to gain a lot of attention come April. This Cow has all the guess work down already, but just wait, THERE’S MORE… How about the fact she sells with service to the $77,500 Red U-2 Genesis 103G. The calving ease feature from U2 this spring to Canadian Sires and Ter-Ron. To acquire a female, in her prime, bred to this magnitude, in her entirerty, well days like this don’t happen very often! AI bred to Red U-2 Genesis 103G on April 24, 2020. Exposed to HF Shawshank 243E from May 14 to June 8, 2020.

Red Cockburn Assassin 624D - Sire

We have dug deeper into our bred heifer pen than ever before with this year’s offering of bred heifers from our breeding program here at Shiloh Cattle Company. Guilty Pleasure 48G was on Bryan’s radar last year while he was at the ranch selecting Red Round-Up heifer calves, and she has once again impressed him with her incredibly balanced structure. She is deep sided with an incredibly strong top line, clean fronted and is sure to have beautiful udder and foot structure, just like her dam. Guilty Pleasure is undeniably the top female from our 2019 calf crop and our 2020 bred heifer pen, and that is why she is on offer here today. We believe it is important to showcase only our very best genetics in a sale of this calibre. Her well known sire, Red Cockburn Assassin 624D, has provided us with offspring that have topped our bull sale and excelled in our heifer pen. We currently have two paternal brothers that we retained here at the ranch in our own breeding program. She truly is a remarkable female with that beautiful "Front Pasture" appeal that is bound to enhance any cow herd. Exposed to Red Allison Red Bone 69E from April 7 to July 25, 2020. Vet checked safe to calve mid-January 2021.

418G is the result of what we had hoped would be a great cross of our Razor & Specialist sires. We are very pleased with this cross as it has resulted in some of our top producing 2 year olds. They have an abundance of milk & exceptional udder structure and are big bodied with attractive front ends. This cow family came to us as a pick of the herd flush from Six Mile Ranch through a past Red Round Up. We selected Sue 400F as the kind to produce functional daughters and herd bulls. The first son from that flush was the $25,000 Red Wilbar Replica 836T that sold to Blairs.Ag and the first daughter was 3U, the great grand dam of this heifer. 418G ranks in the top 1% of the breed in all growth traits and the top 5% in maternal traits. I’d say she’ll carry on the tradition of raising replacement females and herd bulls. AI bred to Red NCJ Coming In Hot 24E (favourable) on April 18, 2020. Red MRLA Resource 137E - Sire

Jet Stream 49G has been a favorite of ALL who have seen her during pasture tours and at the South Eastern Saskatchewan Angus Showcase this summer. She is constructed correctly from the ground up with a deep sweeping rib cage and overall balance. Her sire Red MRLA Resource 137E has lite the Red Angus world on fire over the last year with his progeny being highly sought after. The Resource cattle are super consistent and have complimented our herd perfectly. The Jet Stream cow family originated from the solid breeding program of the late Jack Heart’s treasured Brookmore herd. We have built a productive cow family from this purchase and have sold descendants into the purebred herds of Triple L, Fraser Farms and Britany Hunt. This spring we sourced a bull that we are confident that will add to the maternal merit of our herd for use in our heifer pasture named Ferdinand from our friends at Wildman Livestock. He is smooth made, backed by solid maternal families and very correct in his structure. This service will perfectly compliment Jet Stream. If you are in search of a female to build a new cow family from with a different twist on pedigree you need to be in the front row come sale time. ET daughter of Red WRAZ Sheba 40X that sold for $10,000 to Mark Chriss, On the Mark Cattle Co., in this very sale October 2018. This one is right from the top of the keeper pen and cuts deep as she is the only female from the flush that I had. Her full sib brother’s by Assassin were well accepted in our spring bull sale topping the sale at $10,000 for half interest. Speaking of Assassin I liked him and what he was doing so much that he now walks the pastures of WRAZ! His progeny are doing well across a wide range of herds across many different areas and often rise to the top. The Assassin daughters are looking great and really getting the job done. I have no doubt this female will go on to produce great ones for her new owner. Pasture exposed to Red JJL Legend 83G from April 12 to August 4, 2020. Last year Bryan picked this heifer and said she would be better as a bred in the sale. Well here she is, lots of volume and stout. Sired by 9 Mile Franchise 6305 and out of a super mom, by Grand Slam who seems to knock out a good one every year no matter what she’s bred to. So this year we flushed her to Red MRLA Respect 42G. Getting back to 914G, she may not be your top pick to win a class at a show but she will sure stand at the top end of the class as a mother cow, she will make a super cow. She is bred early to our best home raised Authentic son Red ELF 139 Gabe 909G, who is out of 407B a super milking Hollywood daughter. 909G’s maternal sister ELFX 21H sells as lot 73 in this sale. Red Fraser Maid 902G

902G is an outstanding daughter of Grand Slam that came in dam from Kenray through the Pride of the Prairies Sale. 57E is a moderate daughter of the Staunch bull that has received praise from wherever he has been used. His daughters are phenomenal and 57E fits the bill. Perfect udder and exceptional foot structure are two main qualities and look at the Maid cow family for some long-term production as the 101T cow was at Kenray for many years. Perhaps the most intriguing part of this puzzle is the Resource calf inside. A red-carrier son of S A V Resource that was very popular at the McMillan Ranch Bull Sale last year. His first calf crop makes you take notice.

This eye catching heifer’s appearance speaks for itself. She has that balance of structure and solid performance that is sure to make a positive influence in your breeding program. Just like her sire, 13G has an incredibly deep red coat of hair and stands on a perfectly structured, dark foot. Glitter 13G is bred safe to Red Shiloh Gunner 23G. Gunner was the 2019 Canadian Angus Association’s overall High Point Champion Red Angus Bull Calf on last year’s Gold Show circuit, and is currently a Junior Herd Sire here at Shiloh Cattle Company. We are more than proud to be consigning a female of this calibre in this year’s prestigious Canadian Red Round-Up sale.

Red Six Mile Stealth 269F - Service Sire

Big time cow power! Massive rib and body, fluid and agile in her movement and an extra shot of stoutness in her skeleton. We are very excited to get these Powder River daughters into production- they exploded on grass this summer demonstrating their ease of flesh and forage efficiency. 214G’s dam is one of those real honest, hard-working Outsider 387C daughters with solid feet and a perfect udder. Please note: This is a heifer that was slated to stay here at Six Mile- therefore we bred her to Stealth 269F – a bull with unknown heifer calving ability. We do not anticipate issues, but please watch her closely at calving time.

Red Mar Mac Generation 51G - Service Sire

Mar Mac’s bred heifer is a moderate framed, thick, dark footed Capacity daughter. Siera is sired by our Capacity bull, who sired bulls in the bull sale that were in demand with their performance and natural thickness. Capacity daughters have small teats, tight udders and wean off stout calves. Look at the top sires in 124G’s pedigree; Red Flying K Neptune, Red Cockburn Ribeye 346U, and Red Chopper K Capacity, all of these sires have left strong productive mother cows in our herd. Siera sells bred to a new young herd sire we are excited about. Just ask Bryan about this young sire, he was totally impressed. Generation 51G is out of our matron donor female, Red McRae’s Ruby 10T. 10T has left many top progeny in Canada and this is her last natural calf. We used Eliminator on heifers for a couple of years and his calving was excellent. Generation was used in our heifer pen and we can not wait to see the progeny in 2021. Lots of proven genetics here.

735G’s mother CPRA 474B is a no miss cow, she has great feet, a balanced udder and Bryan has wanted her every year for Red Round-Up but we wouldn’t part with her. 93Z, the grand dam, is also a top producer here at Double C. A great cow family to get into here. CPRA 399W, the sire of 735G, sold to Flying K which we kept a semen interest in. This heifer is bred to CPRA 743G, who is a Peak Dot Eliminator son from a Flying K Max bull on the cow side. Here is an opportunity to purchase a herd building female.

Red Towaw Monique 424G

To celebrate our 50th year in the Red Angus Business we are proud to offer Monique 424G in this year’s Red Round-Up Sale. She is an extremely correct structured female displaying all the "cow maker" qualities we have always strived to produce. She is good headed, good footed and strong through her heart girth. Her pedigree is stacked with maternal greatness! Highline 402M, Tiger, Julian 72Y and Lazy MC Stout backed up by our Sybil and Monique cow families. Her Sire, Red Towaw Jive 468E was the second high seller in our 2019 Bull Sale to Thistle Ridge, Ben and Carol Tams. He is very good footed, attractive and bold through his heart, all coupled with low birth and calving ease. His dam is a picture perfect HF Tiger daughter and his grand dam, Sybil 4H, is arguably the best cow ever produced at Towaw. The A.I. mating to Duff Red Blood is quite exciting as we introduce the outcross OCC Juanada cow family into our herd. Red Blood is a moderate, stout made, calving ease sire, possessing strong maternal traits. Whether she lies down and has a future matron heifer calf or a strong herd sire candidate, I am sure the new owner will be pleased!

Br ed H eif er s

It’s not very often that we have Bazinga progeny anymore, never mind letting one go from the herd. We are limited on Bazinga semen and use it very sparingly on certain cows. We were very excited to acquire 2218C as a part of Edith Fontaine’s herd dispersal as these cows have made a great addition to our herd. We have all 3 generations of females from this heifer in our herd. The "Edith" cow family has been a great addition and we look forward to building a new cow family around them. Combining Bazinga with the Edith cow family has us excited to see what this heifer will do for her new owners. We think 230G being bred to a red grandson of S A V Pioneer will make for a very interesting combination.

Lauryn 66G is from the same cow family as our heifer calf entry. They have been some of our most consistent and best producing cow families we have. Sired by the Juggernaut bull, who was also the sire of the Heifer Calf Futurity Champion that we sold to Maria Taschuk in last year’s Red Round-Up. The Juggernaut females are turning into some of our nicest young cows. Dam has been a real solid producer, she is the mother to the Hustler 10E bull working for Jensen Red Angus at Leader SK, and she has another son working for Jordan Walsh in Ontario. Maybe the most exciting thing is the coupon inside this girl. Bred to the $77,000 Genesis bull we bought out of the U2 bull sale with Canadian Sires. What an opportunity to get in on some of the most exciting genetics in the breed.

As first time consignors we knew we needed something that was a little different to bring to town. This dark red female was one we really hoped Bryan liked enough to let us bring to town. This deep sided, wide topped, powerfully made female is a looker, but the most exciting part may be that she’s a direct HOBO 1961 daughter out of a cow purchased from Dwajo and carrying a service to Red Blood. With the cross of old proven genetics and one of the hottest bulls in the market this female is one you won’t want to miss.

Br ed H eif er s

Red Lauron April 158G is one of the top replacement heifers to be bred at Lauron this spring. She originates from a flush of one of our top cows to the popular Semex AI sire, Custom Made. The only reason we are letting this one go is because she has two other full siblings in the herd and we still have embryos of the same mating in the inventory. A full brother, Red Lauron Fleetwood, was utilized in our AI program and will have multiple sons in our bull sale offering this spring. April 158G has all the makings of a productive female and ties it all together in a moderate package. She is deep ribbed, good footed and boasting some excellent maternal EPDs. Grand dam, 131X, has achieved Elite status with the CAA and has been a never miss cow. April 158G was exposed to our new goto heifer bull, Red Dwajo Mack 4F, who has an excellent first set of calves on the ground.

This balanced feminine beauty is a rare combination! Red MF C201 Cherokee 7G traces back to the original cow that we started our red program with, a donor cow from the prestigious Southholm program. The Cherokee cow’s in this pedigree have shown all the characteristics we demand; longevity, femininity, production and functionality. The Elite/Premier dam 34T, was a standout in the show ring, the pasture and through her progeny. She was worthy of our ET program. Her milk production and udder was outstanding, typical of the Red Lazy MC Smash daughters. Sired by the calving ease, growth specialist, Red Rust Redeem 201C, makes 7G a hard one to part with. Redeem seems to sire very moderate, thick made, soft cattle with progeny meeting the needs of the industry. Check her off on your list of great opportunities, as she also offers a unique service to Red Bieber CL Atomic C218.

10G is a very royally bred heifer coming out of our Lass cow family. Her grandmother raised three sons back to back showing at the bull futurity in Red Deer. The first one won Intermediate calf champion at Agribition and the second one of them won the Club Red and later went on to do an incredible job at Cripps Red Angus and later at Windy Hills livestock. This heifers mother is a full sister to that bull. This heifer grandmother died at 10 years old but she was a never miss cow. It was a shame we never got to flush her more. This heifer has the potential to be a herd bull producer.

Br ed H eif er s We are extremely excited to offer Red Rack Tamila 113G as our bred heifer consignment to this years Red Round-Up Sale. Tamilla 113G is a very well balanced female with an attractive mix of length and depth that carries into a feminine clean front end. Tamilla has a very quiet disposition and we feel will be a great addition to any herd. Tamilla 113G is pasture bred to our latest herd sire Red DKF Popeye 74G who has a very interesting pedigree!

Sparkles is a young female that I believe has a bright future with some top end genetics. Sparkles is sired by one of our new and upcoming herd sires at the farm, Red McGowan Excalibur 61E, that has stamped his progeny quite well. 137G is out of a first calving Crossfire daughter that did a great job on her first try. Sparkles is a sound functional female with lots of angularity and eye appeal. She was exposed to an embryo calf we kept back to use on our heifer that we are very excited about.

An extremely long bodied, powerful heifer out of our Coupe Deville sire. He is one of the longest bulls we have ever seen. Coupe’s daughters appear to be very feminine, with beautiful udders. Annie 21G has been a standout since birth. We have said all summer that Bryan cannot have this one, but he found her. Only the second Notorious daughter to sell; the first was a past high seller through the Keystone Klassic sale, purchased by Blairs.Ag and associates. Her grandsire Gangster, could write a book on how to produce females. In a span of four years (8 sales), Gangster sired the high selling bull three times and his daughters raised him four other times. When it comes to low birth, good growth and phenomenal daughters, we can’t offer a more predictable female than this. She’s safe to the dark red, soggy made Ringer bull that owns possibly the most impressive young cow in the Kaufmann herd as his mother.

The Junior Extravaganza is an exciting addition to Red Round-Up. Mar Mac Farms has two fancy heifers for the 2020 event. Bryan Mackenzie has created a unique opportunity for 2020 with these two half-sisters, you choose one; the other one comes back to Mar Mac. Mar Mac is extremely proud of both these heifers and look forward to seeing which one we will retain. Their dam has just been given the recognition of an Elite/Premier Dam in the Canadian Angus Association Program. Bonita progeny have topped our Mar Mac New Generation 2015 and 2018 female sales, along with High Selling Bull in our 2019 Bull Sale. If you want to build a cowherd, here is a great place to start with so many proven genetics. Wow dark cherry red, stylish, long bodied and naturally thick best describes 16H. We purchased a semen package from RSL Red Angus on Little Deep and boy what a set of performance calves we got. If there were fall shows this year, the female would be extremely competitive. Juniors here is a show heifer prospect that will catch many judges’ eyes. Check her out sale day!! Sire Verified.

We are extremely excited to be involved in the prestigious Red Round-Up sale again and thought it would be fitting to bring you our very best. The dam of these flush sisters, Red Six Mile Marta 993E, was a purchase that we saw a lot of future in and she has proved herself in the showring as well as being a prolific producer, these two ET heifer calves prove just that. 9H is a superstar show heifer in the making. She exhibits a super sleek front end, has loads of rib shape and thickness. She is correct in her foot structure and on the move. 10H is exactly what an ideal Angus female should look like! She exhibits an ultra-smooth pattern and balance from one end to the other. She displays the same characteristics as her sire, TWG Tommy Jack, being powerful in her rib shape and muscle pattern while still maintaining a soft brood cow look. We couldn’t be more thrilled of how this flush worked for us and wanted to share some of this genetic opportunity by offering choice on these two extremely high quality flush sisters.

$40,000 valuation Maternal Grand Dam

I’ve always thought footnotes need to be similar to a miniskirt; long enough to cover the essentials, but short enough to keep your attention. Well for this one I might have to apologize in advance, because I could write a novel about Countess 19H. I don’t know if we have bred another female that covers the basics and the extras as well as this one does. From foot and udder design, to hair, mass, structure, femininity and skeletal build, she has the tools to check off a lot of boxes. While this heifer may very well have a successful show career, ultimately I believe her biggest impact will be as a breeding female and her versatility in production. The Countess cow family has been dominant in our herd. They’ve raised high dollar heifers, functional commercial bulls and high production cows. More than any of the other cows we own, the Countess’ possess impeccable skeletal build, added power and frame, superior udder quality and high fertility. Red U2 El Chapo was a bull that was sought after due to his dark red color, highly maternal pedigree, and maybe the best foot of any yearling bull I’ve seen. El Chapo will be a bull that we continue to use to produce next level quality females and improve feet. Our commitment to sell our best, has been true since our very first Red Round-Up consignment. This heifer represents the very best heifer calf from our 2020 calf crop and the freshest genetics in our breeding program. Selling half embryo interest, full possession (100% of all natural calves will be owned by the buyer). Call/text Kolby (780) 778-1435 for details and video. Consigned by Rainbow Red Angus

Rosa 19H has been a standout since birth, admiring her for her solid color, thick structure, extra depth, with outstanding growth and eye appeal. She is sired by the exciting "One & Only 733," whose first calf crop has been exceptional with outstanding bull and female prospects developing at Matejka Farms. Her dam, Rosa 23B, is one of our top producing females with a strong production record, including a top replacement heifer retained and is the dam of our top first calving pair. She is further backed by our choice from the Kuntz program, Rosa 27Z, who has are more than a few interesting and productive genetics in her cow family. Pricilla 24H is a heifer that is out of one of the most potent cow families in the breed. 24H is big bodied heifer, yet, soft made with that unmistakable maternal look. 24H has some of the most revered maternal siblings in the breed and she, herself, has the earning potential to do the same. Red Shiloh Horizon 25H

Horizon 25H is the type of female that is sure to rise to the forefront of any progressive breeding program. She has acquired her feminine, calving ease structure from her dam, along with the performance driven traits of her sire, Red Allison Red Bone 69E, as is reflected in her EPD’s. It was a difficult decision to consign Horizon to this year’s sale, but fortunately her sire has provided us with several siblings that are equally as impressive, making it easier for us to part with her, and reinforcing her sire’s impressive consistency in his offspring. We believe she has the potential to be an influential female in the Angus industry.

This girl was one that was destined for Red Round Up right from birth. Her dimension and phenotype is one to please any breeder, not to mention the Acute family with correct uddered, abundant milkers that put pounds on calves fast without giving up anything. A sweet disposition and a great foot are always a bonus. Use her in your program to make a good reliable cow or put her on the show road and see what she does. "Potion" was bound to be a favorite at Cinder Angus right from when we AI’d her dam. She has a super disposition and tremendous growth have made her to be a standout on pasture. Lots of bloom and a huge hip, the list goes on. Her dam, one of the infamous 29’s, is a Red Lonestone Revolver 138Z daughter which would explain the length of body on her side of the family. Freyja 429H is sired by Red LSF RR Bulletproof 0375X; a bull that has worked very well for us. Bulletproof also can be traced back to Red Leachman Enterprise and Red Feddes Big Sky. Two bulls we think very highly of and we love how well the mating clicked. Selling full interest and possession. However, would like the option to retain a flush on this female. To be done at buyer’s convenience.

Red Wilbar Brndina 53F - Dam

Red Wilbar Sunberry Brndna 673H

673H is a very stylish, dark red, elite fronted, complete female backed by one of our most prolific and high income cow families. Her dam, 53F, is one of our favourite Specialist daughters and is owned with Sunberry Valley Ranch. She is a full sibling to Red Wilbar Element 220E, $16,000 son owned with J Bar Dee Red Angus (SK) and Red Wilbar Expression 255E at DBM Angus Farms (MB). Maternal siblings include the 2013 Reserve National Champion Bull, Red Wilbar Over The Top 825Z owned by Moon’s Red Angus (BC) and $21,000 Red Wilbar Double Take owned by B-Elle Red Angus (SK). 673H is gentle enough for any junior and has the style to suit the most competitive.

39

Open H eif er s

One of the top Red Angus heifer calves you will find on offer this fall. She is a daughter of the 2018 Reserve National Champion bull, Red Wilbar Lithium 56F. Lithium has hit a homerun with his first calf crop - they are similar in type to the Razors but are softer made with even more style. 605H is the natural calf of our top donor, 357X. Daughters of 357X have sold to Balamore Farms (NS), Paetsch Livestock (SK) and W Sunrise (AB). Four additional daughters have been retained including Red Wilbar Blockana 50D who was the Reserve Champion Red Angus Female at 2017 Stockade Roundup and earned several other banners that year as Owen’s junior project. 605H is a big middled, clean fronted heifer with notable presence to make her stand out in the show ring or the pasture.

Red Ter-Ron Lauryn 63H

Lauryn 63H is the first heifer calf to sell out of our high selling Riddler bull that sold to Lodoen Cattle Company and Wheeler’s Stock Farm. Solid calf crop on both sexes and Lauryn 63H is one of his best. Super soft made, bold ribbed, sweet fronted, easy fleshing type of female. Her mother is an absolute tank of a cow, that is very solid footed and uddered. 63H will hold her own as a heifer calf in the show ring, but we believe her best days are ahead of her as a cow. We have always tried to bring some of our best to Red Round-Up, and Lauryn is one of them.

Red U-2 Justified 235Z - Sire

These Justified daughters are high output! He has done a fantastic job at Bar E-L, Allison’s and our Ranch over the past few years. Pairing a growthy performance based bull with a more moderate frame cow sure worked here. From head to feet Kuruba 072H is all around exceptional. She has a clean, feminine front, is wide between hooks and pin, and carries her back quarters nicely down towards her hock. She also carries herself softly when she travels, has plenty of flex in her joints and has a tremendous leg set. Her designated Elite Dam, Kuruba 356A, is an attractive and impressively uddered daughter out of Diamond T Hips Stout, one that gives her all into her calves year after year. 072H is going to turn into a beautiful productive cow and is another female that we would have loved to have kept on the farm. Would potentially like to show Kuruba at the Lloydminster Stockade on November 4 to 7, 2020, will discuss details with new owner.

Red KC Lana 18H will be one to buy if you are looking for a female that will raise herd bulls. She is super soggy, deep made carrying tons of red meat in a feminine package. Her dam was purchased out of the KBJ Dispersal and sired by the high selling herd bull Red TR Deep 285B, who had left behind some of the best females in the industry. Lana 18H’s dam and maternal sister are real moderate, super uddered, with excellent feet and always produce. 18H is a prime example, March 15th born, she will keep up with the January’s in the sale. Here is a one of a kind heifer with a strong genetic background. This beauty of a heifer goes back to some of the most legendary bulls in the industry; Loosli RIGHT Kind, Rollin Deep and BCAR Wild Card. Her sire Equity 704E was a rare find and is leaving an exceptional group of calves consistent in colour and pattern. Juniors and fellow breeders; if you want a female that will make her money back in the first year here she is.

Red Kenray Anexa 22H

The Anexa cow family has written their own chapter in the Red Angus breed in Canada over the last few years. They were wildly popular at the historic U2 Herd Dispersal last fall. We went in search of a future donor cow last year and settled out on Anexa 226C. She is an eye appealing well balanced individual that is impeccable in her conformation. She has previously raised the notable herdsire Retrospect 29E for MRL. His first calf crop were well accepted this spring with his sons commanding lots of attention from breeders all over North America. Anexa 22H is her 2020 natural born calf and is a deep bodied, striking daughter of the Blue Collar 295E bull that Unger’s describe as "one of the very best we’ve raised." We are extremely excited about this heifer and wish to remain a full partner in her future. This heifer will create her own waves make sure you are along for the ride!! An own daughter of Red DKF Razor 55C, the outcross bull whose numbers continue to climb. He is ranked in the top 1% of the breed for WW, YW, TM and HPG. The BCC Lace 42Y cow is a stellar brood matron and daughter of the powerhouse sire Red Badlands Networth 23U. Only because we have two outstanding daughters of 42Y in our herd already will we part with this great breeding piece. Make note of her maternal grandsire, Red SSS Boomer 803B, who continues to have some of the top maternal, milk and fertility numbers in the breed. This heifer is a sweetheart to handle, has the stature to win banners, and the potential to be a front pasture breeding machine for years to come.

An April born heifer that stands out against calves born two months younger. This Outlander female is typical of her sire group; Outlander’s first group of calves are consistent and the top of the heap. We are very excited for his bull calves to develop next spring. We kept Outlander back; a Parker son out of one of our top young cows. 9H is from a great cow family that have been consistent producers for us, and one that we have been able to continually keep back replacements from throughout the years. The udder quality has always been there, and the performance has always shined through. With the maternal power on both her dam and sire’s sides, we expect that 9H will be a great producer and will always pull her weight while looking the part.

Upon further study, she commands respect with a great dark foot, soft made, smooth feminine features with an outstanding model dam who exhibits a beautifully constructed udder. From the prominent Blackbird cow family, her heritage is impeccable, four maternal sisters have sold to purebred operations or retained. Her Semex/ Six Mile sire has high performance and outstanding carcass merits, so a combination second to none. Juniors take note of her pleasant disposition and she is destined to become an impressive foundation female to build a herd around.

This calf has some very big shoes to fill with her first two siblings averaging just over $16,000!! Her older sister demanded immense attention last fall when she sold to top the Touch of Class Sale to Eye Hill Stock Farm and Minburn. Her brother then sold this past spring in a virtually empty sale barn to the same two along with Meints Cattle Company. There were several very astute programs on the phone and internet that day. This calf is sired by Red Six Mile Eliminator 241E, who was a popular bull a couple years ago in the Six Mile Sale. He has the outcross Eliminator genetics along with his dam being the lead off cow out of the great Glesbar Dispersal. This is only the second daughter offered out of him with the first being the high selling red heifer calf at last year’s Keystone Klassic. This calf is stacked with outcross maternal genetics with on every corner with Eliminator, DMM Traction, Kodiak and Final Answer.

Red ACC Bonita 20H was the pick of the heifer calves for several cattlemen touring our herd. She is long sided, thick and athletic. Her dam has been very productive for us raising one of our most masculine and hard muscled bulls last year. Her grand dam is also still in production and has raised 8 calves so far including four sale bulls and a heifer calf we sold through the Masterpiece Sale to Dwajo in 2012. The sire of this calf has really impressed us, his first crop of calves sold really well through our 2020 sale. We knew purchasing Red Brylor Bonita 10B all those years ago would prove to be a sound investment, as will the addition of this female to any herd .

We are thrilled to continue in their footprints and offer the same level of quality in genetics and passion for the breed. When the Vikse Angus Dispersal announced, I knew I couldn’t miss the opportunity. From the countless hours of working within the herd, I knew just what cows I wanted to build my Angus Foundation from. Cows with strong udder development, solid foot structure, deep big boned females that will ultimately produce and deliver. Jackie 5H displays all of the makings of the foundation of my herd. Wheeler’s also can’t say enough of their Unanimous progeny and especially their Auburn line of cows. With Apex 76A on the grand dam side the guess work is taken out of this girl. Not to mention she has some impressive Weaning Weight and Yearling Weight EPD’s. We look forward to what the future brings to the keen eyed buyer come this October. She has an index of 101.

Red U2 Reckless 306F - Sire

Red Delta Misty 403H

This heifer is a perfect example of why Allison Farms invested $60,000 into buying U2 Reckless 306F. Misty is a top end female that is extremely practical, yet stunning in her structure and cherry red hair coat. There is no doubt that the Misty cow family at U2 has proven its consistency time and time again. Here is your opportunity to add an ultra-maternal sensation to your cow herd. This will be an extremely difficult goodbye for us here at Delta Ranch.

The Bessie cow family has always produced sound and functional cattle in the bull pens and the pasture. We are very excited about this quiet, dark red, wide bodied heifer that has drawn our eyes since she hit the ground. Sired by the high selling bull from U2 Ranch’s 2019 sale, Red U2 Reckless 306F is surpassing our expectations, producing both powerful bulls and easykeeping heifers. There is no doubt Bessie 17H is the top of our heifer group! It isn’t easy watching this heifer leave, with a pedigree geared for strong feet, nice udders, and docility. Her future will be an exciting one to watch, in either the show ring or the donor pen!

Red Dersta Fayette 18H is a cherry red female that is made right with femininity to spare. She has got hip. She has got depth. She has great neck extension that follows down into a strong top line and all that is set up on a great leg and foot structure. She is off a very hard working three year old dam, Red Bar 4A Fayette 27E. She has a nice neat, tidy udder combined with the Razor bull, we expect nothing but a beautiful udder development on DSM 18H. DSM 18H is our first and only female offered of the sire, Red DSM Razor 814F (whom most know our kids have named FRED). We couldn’t be more excited about Fred’s first calf crop this year. The heifer calves are oh so sweet with capacity and style to spare, while the bull calves are always the first to draw the attention out at pasture. They all have his dark red colouring and easy going attitudes. DSM 18H is the sweetest heifer that has made plenty of friends and caught the eye of many throughout the summer tours. With the gentlest disposition and a love for even the smallest of kid, I am sure she will make a fun junior prospect. Red DSM Razor 814F - Sire

Here is heifer with a pedigree that is worth taking a peek at. She is our only AI heifer this year off of Red JJL Duke 115D, whom we fell in love with as a young bull at Agribition in Jenna and Jarret’s pen of three. We couldn’t afford to purchase the bull from JJL Livestock so we bought some semen on him last year and used all of it and had some excellent success on the calves that he gave us. The sad part for us is we only got one female but since we are in the market to sell our females this year and in the years to come we allowed Bryan to take this girl for Round-Up. This heifer is a beaut and you need to appreciate her in person. Take a look at her pedigree and you decide. I will let you search her history so you truly understand what she is about. Cameron is not one to follow trends in our breed so you may find something extra special to add to your herd in this young lady. After all RoundUp was started to be an exchange of genetics amongst the breeders.

We at Blairswest are very honoured and excited to be a part of such a prestigious event such as Red RoundUp. We feel 22H is one that puts it all together in one complete package. This Warcraft 254Z x Cheta 45Z daughter is one that is extremely deep middled, super stout and undeniably functional. Full sibs are walking the pastures at Blairswest and we have kept them in high regard. We feel this female will be great for any young junior show person as she is kitten quiet and will go on down the road and be a female that will produce over and over.

Lemay 180’20 has been a stand out in the pasture from the time she was born with her dark cherry red colour, natural muscle expression, and her fancy look at me presence. We sampled a few straws of Opportunity and have been very impressed with the set of calves that we have gained from him as he’s a breed leader on WW and YW. An Opportunity daughter was the high seller for us in 2018 selling to Mark Chriss. 180H’s dam has been one of our top producing Barndance daughters, like all the Barndance daughters she has a great udder and dark foot. We feel that 180H will carry on the same great production as her dam and think she can be competitive for a junior member.

Babe 46X progeny is once again making an appearance at Red Round Up. She is the type of cow you can breed any way and she consistently produces a top quality calf. 46X daughters are all stamped the same in their design, they continue to grow and fill out as they develop and turn into great producing females like the 46X cow. One daughter has been retained in our herd, with all other progeny working in purebred herds, most have sold through this very sale. The combination of Opportunity and Babe 46X was hoped to be a heifer calf, as we think the combination of these maternal and power genetics will be exciting to watch develop and will become even more impressive as she develops and produces progeny of her own.

Red Dwajo Gladiator 32L - Sire

Open H eif er s

Is it coincidence that DJE 4H (2020) model is in the same sale that her grandam was in 1997 from Stewart Cattle Co. She raised DJE 4H (1998) as her first calf, and has produced well-known bulls like Red Dwajo Gladiator 32L, who is the sire of Lassie 4H and an Elite sire. Gladiators dam, DJE 4H (1998), is an elite dam that has raised a lot of great females for us in the Superior cow family as same family as 71H. Lassie 47B’s sire, Armageddon, was one of the high selling bulls at Anchor 1 Angus first bull sale. He left us some great looking females with picture perfect utters and feminine front ends. All these traits have been passed down to the Lassie 4H heifer. Lassie 4H is a dark red, long deep bodied heifer with a ton of style and shape. Definite show ring potential with proven pedigree to back it up. Looking for a heifer to start a new cow family look no further then Lassie 4H.

Consigned by Dwajo Angus Superior 71H is a well-rounded heifer with depth of body and feminine angularity. This heifer acquires lots of these traits out of her mother 106C who has raised one daughter sold to EPP Farms and two daughters retained in herd. 106C is out of the Recoil bull who has left very good daughters in herd with high quality utter, feet and legs. Recoil himself won Reserve Grand Champion Bull at Farm Fair, Agribition and made top ten in the RBC Bull Challenge. On 106C dam side, the great-grand dam came through the Red Round-Up sale ring as the high selling cow in 2006. The Superior cow family has been one of our top fundamental cow families in our Red Angus herd. 71H sire has been bought from Heart Valley Angus for his calving ease, overall muscle and thickness, which he has passed on to his offspring. 71H is a fancy, powerful heifer that you can easily take back to show and be a once in a lifetime chance to take back a member of our top red cow family.

This moderate sweetheart has made quite a few friends this summer. Her dam, HRA 71W, has done it again and this will be the second heifer calf in a row to get the call to Red Round-Up. 71W has proven herself to be what I would consider to be the "perfect" Angus cow; 1300-1400 pounds with great feet, a nice udder and the ability to raise great calves year after year. 63H is dark red with nice black feet, an attractive phenotype and hair to spare.

Here is a calf with a lot of style and femininity. Big hipped, long spined and very smooth in her lines. Her dam, HRA 26Y, is a CAA Elite dam since 2017 and this will be her second heifer to sell at Red Round-Up in the last three years. She is one of our top cows and Bryan always makes sure to find her every summer! 26H is sired by Red Minburn Little Deep 17E, who is an impressive bull with a lot of interesting females in his pedigree as well as proven herd sires. We appreciate how he improves foot quality and adds natural thickness. 26H is easy on the eyes and backed by proven genetics.

Red McGowan Firefly 42H

Firefly 42H is one of the most stylish and complete heifer that will have come from the top of the herd. She hails from the Firefly family that started with the initial purchase from the Wright family at Agribition. I don’t think you can go wrong with her pedigree from top to bottom. Firefly comes from a fault free Crossfire daughter that is in her prime and hasn’t missed a beat. Her sire, Cockburn Ribeye, needs no introduction, as he is a powerful herdsire walking the pastures here at McGowan Farms. 42H carries great foot structure along with some neck extension and muscle expression. She will definitely be one to check out come sale time.

If you want longevity, functionality combined with eye appeal here it is! Our Red Round-Up consignment this year goes straight back to Red Blackbird of Strathayr 29G (A Red Round-Up record setting high selling cow in 1980 for $26,500). The strength of these Blackbird’s speaks for themselves. DRAW 26Z has a perfect track record; every son she has had has gone through our Annual Bull Sale, with high sellers in 2019 and 2020. She has had two daughters, one retained in herd, whose production matches her mothers and the other one being sold to L-Dee Stock Farm. Here is your opportunity to own only the third daughter from 26Z, sired by T-K Buckeye 81F. We purchased Buckeye with Wood Coulee Red Angus in spring of 2019. His first calf crop is impressive in both herds. We would like to retain a future flush in this female as we have limited females from 26Z.

82H is a beautifully made sharp fronted heifer calf out of our young up and coming herd sire Head Games. His sons were very well received by breeders this spring. Sons ended up at Wards Red Angus, Brylor and On the Mark and Hamco’s programs. This heifer comes out of a beautiful two year old heifer who goes back to some of the very first red angus cattle we purchased in the mid 80’s. 82H has an incredible disposition and would make a great junior project.

Pick of the Red Angus Bull Calves from Rafter SJ Ranch

As we showed Bryan the bull calves, we were wondering what he was up to as he kept scribbling in his little book. When he asked us to do "Pick of the Bull Calves" it definitely pushed us out of our comfort zone. Between AI and walking bulls, and adding a dozen new cows last year, we feel we have the most exciting set of calves we have ever raised! We strive to have a herd of top quality, easy fleshing cows with great feet, udders and temperament. The AI sires we used last year, and have bull calves sired by; REDMAN, MULBERRY, U2 BIG LEAGUE, PARKER, ROUGH RIDER, CRUSH, BENELLI and POKER FACE. In cows we bought were; PTO, GAME FACE, HIGH CALIBER and ASSASSIN. Walking sires on cows we bought were a PARKER son and a ZEPPELIN son. Our walking sires are decedents of decisions made at past Red Round-Up’s. RED RAFTER SJ REDEEM 19E came in a bred heifer from Fineline. RED RAFTER SJ CASHMAN 16F is by a bull we bought from Goad Family after seeing him at Red Round-Up in 2016, and his dam goes back to a purchase at the Crowfoot Dispersal packing a XO CROWFOOT 0102X bull calf. RED VIKSE REVOLUTION 147F came from Vikse’s bull sale after asking Dave to pick out his top HIGH CALIBER son for our program. We are so grateful for the advice and mentoring we have received from established breeders!! We are proud to offer 38 bull calves to choose from, with a good variety of proven genetics and a good variety of performance and heifer bulls. Selection to be made by December 31, 2020. A magnificent option also being presented is the opportunity to walk into the upcoming "next ones" at SSS and lay claim to your choice of all the 2020 heifer calves. This offer to enhance ones Red Angus program through the many years of trial and tribulation of literally 1000’s upon 1000’s of matings is available now. This is going to be the only heifer calf available this fall from this group. The ET daughters of the Sibbald’s best donors are also in the mix. Some sires of the calves would be bulls such as: Contender, Tactic, Tycoon, Ambush, Approval, GSR Cracken, and very exciting young sire named Grit 503F (owned with GKB Cattle Co in Texas). Watch for their liter mates/brothers to sell in Annual SSS bull sale in March 2021. Announcing a brand-new initiative

formed between First Class Cattle Marketing, Mackenzie Sales Management, CRAPS and Olds College. In the early part of 2019, we began the initial stages of planning with the good folks at Olds College. A proposal was formulated to begin a new herd of Red Angus females for our future cattlemen and women to learn about at an ag school. I will readily admit, we are basing it loosely on the already existing black program at Lakeland in Vermillion. Starting a Red herd though in Olds is such a good fit now that Red Roundup is here at the Cow Palace. The town of Olds is now the official home for this brand-new exhilarating adventure. 10 very progressive and passionate about youth Red Angus breeders have very generously donated a heifer calf each, making them the founders of this Red Angus herd. Each heifer calf was jointly collaborated on between the Red Roundup selectors and the owners. Thank you so much to all the breeders listed below. We are still searching for financial support (cash donations) to further fund this land breaking project for college aged kids. $1,000 minimum donation will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the given amount. This investment in future Red Angus breeders will go towards the costs involved with starting a new herd and future genetic acquisitions. Also, a partnership has been formed between the College and the Promotion Society, to start a Scholarship Fund to be given away at future Red Round Up’s. Imagine this‌the excitement and anticipation of a brand-new crop of college kids arriving in Olds to experience a purebred based program of Red Angus females for the first time in history. Everything from the feeding, breeding (importance of ET and AI work), clipping and grooming, sale preparation, marketing, and showmanship. For two years of Education, these kids will be hearing the words Red Angus over and over again and living and breathing it too. Thank you to our heifer calf donators: Circle G Angus Shiloh Cattle Co. Here is an opportunity on one of the most sought after bulls this past spring, Red W Sunrise Bank Note 284G. Bank Note 284G is the outcross that we have all been looking for. He has many attributes that will change the Red Angus breed for the better; his foot is one of the largest, most correct structured that we have seen, and couples it with softness and fluidity in his movement. The highly heritable trait of scrotal development is always a department that many breeders feel that their bulls fall short on, but not 284G, as a yearling he measured 42 cm. Lastly, his eye appeal; his color pigmentation is dark and intense, an essential in this business. Selling 5, 10 straw packages. There will not be any more semen sold in Canada in 2021, so purchase with the guarantee that you will be in the small group of breeders to own this semen

Respect was one of the feature and high selling Red Angus bulls in Canada in the spring of 2020 at $130,000. He attracted attention from Red Angus breeders across Canada and the United States. Respect was the first son of Red U2 Retrospect 29E to sell, Retrospect was a feature bull when he sold two years ago at U2, and will leave a lasting impact at MRL in the future. Respect is out of an excellent, outcross, daughter of Harvestor. Combining the performance and maternal quality of Harvestor along with the calving ease of Retrospect worked extremely well. Not only is he special on paper, he is a standout in terms of his look and herd bull character, with an ideal head and attractive front end, lots of volume and dimension in his rib and hip, Respect combines all of the pieces. Respect semen on the open market will not be available in increments as small as 10 in the spring of 2021.

Daughter of Coming In Hot

Son of Coming In Hot

These Coming in Hot progeny have continued to exceed our expectations for a second year now! A bull working great at multiple different herds is something to be said. The $40,000 cherry red, complete outcross has proven to make beautiful females that have succeeded in the show ring and in the pasture. A beyond proven calving ease sire with growth, look and presence makes Coming In Hot one you can breed to all types of heifers and cows! The first sons were very popular at Cockburn’s, South View Ranch and Six Mile. A big group of Coming In Hot sons led off the Six Mile bull sale this past spring with Gentry commanding $45,000 and the group averaging over $11,000. Daughters were very well respected with Six Mile Olivia 328G being the high selling heifer calf at last year’s Red Round-up to Kamrie Kaufman of South View Ranch for $17,500 and another going to Peyton Christman for $14,750!. Watch for these returning breds as they will be turning some heads at this year’s Futurity! Last year semen was in high demand and commanded over $400/straw. This will be the only semen to sell for the 2021 breeding season! Don’t miss out!

Red U2 Township 17G

Red U-2 Beauty 113Z - Dam

Township throws it all together with outstanding phenotype and monumental maternal value that we all strive for. This massive ribbed, cherry red phenomenon turned heads from day one as he was the leader of the most pronounced flush to come out of U2 and was their lead off bull selling for $130,000 to Sunberry Valley Ranch!. His dam, Beauty 113Z, was the unanimous favorite at the dispersal commanding $65,000 to Niobrara Red Angus, NE. Never have we seen a cow built like Beauty and with a truly untouchable production record. Her top five sons have averaged over $67,000 with four open heifer calves averaging over $17,000. From structure to fleshing ability to skull shape no one has done it like her! Township’s sire, Resoure 137E, was a great addition to the Red Angus breed with high selling females and sons highlighting the fall and spring sales. At U2, 32 sons averaged $16,570 and 30 open heifers averaged over $9,000. With top notch, proven genetics all over this pedigree don’t miss this opportunity to add the $130,000 Township into your program! This will be the only semen selling for the 2021 breeding season in Canada. Canadian Qualified.

Red DKF Racer 8E - Son

Ace 84C and son DKFE 134G

Illicit 359Z and Ace 84C

Ace 84C and daughter DKFE 142F

Wow, opportunities don’t come along like this every day. Red DKFE Miss Ace 84C is the dam of Red DKF Racer 8E. Shiloh Cattle Co. purchased Racer 8E out of the stall at Agribition in 2017. Racer has gone on to be a two time CWA Champion Red Angus Bull and two time Top Ten Supreme Qualifier Finalist and also a two time Red Angus Show Bull of the Year. Maybe you want to make full siblings to Racer. Ace’s only daughter, Red DKF Miss Diamond 142F, is producing very well in our herd, with a gorgeous udder like her mother. We walked her second son, Red DKF Out For A Rip 134G, on a group of heifers. Rip 134G was very successful at the 2019 Nile Show in Billings, Montana, where he was Champion Bull of the Junior Show and Reserve Champion Spring Bull Calf in the Open Show. Ace 84C, along with Out For A Rip, was Reserve Champion Female of the Junior Show and Champion Senior Female of the Open Show. Red DKF Out For A Rip 134G was a top three finalist at 2019 Red Angus Sweepstakes. Ace has been bred three different ways and has clicked every time. We are excited to see her future offspring. She is open and ready to flush to a bull of your choice give us a call 306-815-7023 if u have any questions. Guaranteeing 6 freezable embryos and splitting after 8. Sire is buyer’s choice and flushing to do be done at a mutually agreed donor facility. Payment: Half is due sale day and half is due upon completion of the flush. Son of 601D

Daughter of 601D

Daughter of 601D - Sells as Lot 51

When I sold her first calf last fall at the Touch of Class I stated before the sale that she was possibly the greatest female we have ever offered for auction. I had watched her brother all last summer and was excited for what he offered. At that time, I had in my mind that I would keep him as Poker Face was no longer breathing oxygen. My mind got changed and he was a great feature in our bull sale. Thanks to all that helped market him. Look at the pictures again, study the pedigree, and ask the operations that bought those siblings and heck…. Ask the guys that were contending bidders… It’s not often that a cow’s first two offspring average over $16,000 with her third selling in this prestigious Red Roundup Sale. Bryan asked and we agreed…. We are offering a future flush on this stellar producer. Guaranteeing 6 freezable embryos and splitting after 8. Buyer responsible for flush costs. Sire of buyer’s choice and flushing to be done and mutually agreed donor facility. Buyer pays half on sale day with remaining due upon completion of successful flush.

49D’s first calf - Franchise 149F

Every once in a while, a young uprising star is born unto our ranch and really captures your heart and imagination. 49D is just such a cow! She has all the right pieces to fit any puzzle. From her wonderful outcross pedigree to her beautiful head and neck design, ending with her awesome udder and fantastic feet! She is the kind to build with. I’m not sure how you would want to change her. Her first calf, Franchise 149F, is now a herd sire for Wraz and Red Ember in Saskatchewan. This exciting young bull topped our 49th Annual Bull Sale last fall at $27,000 for a half share. We also have a retained yearling heifer and on the ground in 2020 she has another future herd sire prospect sired by a Red carrier son of S A V Resource. This amazing donor is part of the famous Reba tribe at Brylor/OTM where we have six other direct daughters of 49W. Some highlight sisters to 49D have topped various sales in the USA such as the $10,000 heifer calf at Reno to McPhee’s in California. Also, another sister went for $9,250 to Urban Cattle Company in Texas and one to Rhodes in Kansas for $8,000. 49W has a featured embryo lot in this years Red Round-Up selling as lot 104. Selling the right to one future flush on Reba 49D. Terms: Guarantee 6 freezable/viable embryos-split after 8. Buyer to pay all flush costs. Buyer will also have access to our semen tank. Linett 938W Udder

Red ML Miss Linett 938W is a model of an ideal Red Angus female. The cherry red color, expansive rib shape, near perfect udder structure, foot and leg correctness that have stood the test of time along with a high level of production place her as an elite cow. Circle G Angus was offered the pick of the Veno herd and 938W was acquired as well as a half interest in her outstanding son, Jubilation 938B. Both have played a major role in the Circle G program. 938W is a full sister to ML Max 862U herd bull that was a landmark sire at Flying K Ranch. One of his sons sold to Triple S Red Angus and had a major impact on their program. 938W has been flushed with great success and is averaging 15 freezable embryos. A flush was shared with Ter-Ron Farms and a U2 Renown son was a feature in their 2019 sale and sold for $20,000 to Brylor Ranch. Bryan raves about the bull and his calves. Opportunity awaits the buyer of these unique, proven genetics. Terms: Offering one flush with a guarantee of 6 freezable embryos and splitting after 12. Flush to be done in November to December of 2020 at a mutually agreed donor facility. All costs of the flush to be the responsibility of the buyer. Red Six Mile Marta 300Y

The John Wick calves are simply outstanding again this year at Six Mile and Niobrara- a large set that is deeper and more consistent in quality than any sire group we have produced in recent memory. Marta 300Y earned her way into our donor program as she regularly produces sale topping bulls and functional sound females. These embryos are Full siblings to the stout heifer calf selling right here at Red Roundup as Lot 37. Selling three (3) embryos with the guarantee of #1-60 day pregnancy if implanted by a certified technician.

Red U-2 Anexa 226C While flipping through the pages of the U2 Dispersal Catalog we were taken back by the extreme quality of the Authentic 139A cows. They were all moderate, big ribbed and had nice udders for young cows. We made the trip to Lethbridge to secure ourselves a future donor cow. After the smoke cleared, we purchased the female that we had set our sights on. Previously we had viewed her $21,000 son Retrospect 29E at our long-time friends at MRL and appreciated his extreme correctness and his calving ease design. Unfortunately, he was lost too early in his breeding career and his genetics are limited. We have enjoyed watching the job Anexa 226C has done raising her natural born 2020 heifer calf this summer. We are offering an opportunity on her in Red Round-Up 2020, see Lot 46 for more info. We elected to flush 226C to Blue Collar 295E as the mating has worked incredibly well already. Blue Collar traded for $76,000 and is the perfect blend of Reckoning and Copenhagen. He was used extensively through AI at U2 before their dispersal based upon the extreme quality of the limited progeny from the year prior. This is a rare genetic opportunity. Offering a package of 3 Grade A Embryos with a guarantee of 1 - 90 day pregnancy.

Red Crowfoot Blackbird 6125S

The dam, Blackbird 6125S is a mainstay at past Red Round-Up sales. She was in fact the high seller in the 2015 event at $25,500 to Golden Sunset Ranch. She is an amazing looking female and an equal or better producing cow. She is so femine and yet so broody. She is a great blend of superior genetics. And top end structure too. The sire of these embryos is quite possibly the perfect mating for her. Mulberry has done it all from winning shows to siring show winners. Here’s an excellent example of how an older model cow that has become this famous can start from very humble beginnings. Reba 49W started her illustrious career out on the Red Round-Up heifer calf bed in 2009 in the middle of the pack! She has proven herself into the lead Donor Cow role at Brylor/OTM with 7 daughters in our herd. She also has a couple herd bulls at both OTM and one at Brewins’. She also led off the 2019 Red Round-Up as a $12,000 half embryo interest cow to VFF. Phil partnered with us along with Camo on a flush lot that we sold at Masterpiece 2019. Interestingly enough, she also has 4 daughters currently being flushed as well in various programs. The sire Seneca, a Rolling Deep son, sired the $17,000 Red Round-Up 2019 high selling heifer calf. That calf then was named the Champion Female in the first leg of the $100,000 Futurity. Anyone who has followed the Wilbar cow herd over the last 15 years knows how valuable the Tornado daughters are. In fact, breed legend Red Wilbar Cora 443P was a Tornado daughter. They are fertile, highly productive and exhibit the right phenotype. The Coming In Hot mating offers a unique pedigree, exclusive to a limited number of breeders. Four full sibling to these embryos are some of our 2020 highlights in both the replacement and bull pens. 357X herself is our most frequently flushed donor with an impressive production record on her natural calves. She is also the dam of Red Wilbar Blockana 605H (offered as Lot 41). Selling a package of 3 embryos guarantee 1 pregnancies if implanted by a registered tech. Consigned by Wilbar Cattle Co.

Red SVR Jinny 19X is a cow that we flushed to several different sires. She is a long bodied cow that is phenotypically correct, with excellent feet and udder. She is a cow that catches your eye every time you visit the pasture. Her dam Red SVR Jinny 210S is a model cow that always raised a top end calf. Her sire Red SVR No Equal 28H is a bull we are very proud to have raised, he sired many high sellers for us and left females that are real producers. No Equal was in the top 10 of the RBC Beef Supreme Challenge at Agribition. In our 2018 female sale we sold a pick of the herd flush, this flush was purchased by Miller Wilson Angus, and 19X was their pick. Here is your chance to get your hands on this unique opportunity for some new and interesting genetics. Selling one package of 3 embryos (choose from package A-D) guarantee 1 pregnancies if implanted by a registered tech. Red Bar 4A Tide 516C has become a donor female at E&L Ranching for Eric and Louise Falk. Her first four progeny have earned her a spot as a donor female in 2020, and being mated to the new and popular Red MRLA Respect 42G will only add value. He was the $130,000 high selling bull at the 2020 McMillen Ranching bull sale, his pedigree is mostly outcross to the Red Angus herdbook, he is a leader for performance traits, attractive in his phenotype, big bodied, nice headed and sound. Selling a package of 2 embryos.

A very neat mating here in this unusual lot at Red Round-Up…in the form of a pregnancy in a recip cow. 40Y herself sold for $14,500 for a half share in 2016 to Robert New in Indiana and has been a great donor for him. She produced the $57,500 outcross bull, Red Brylor Kodiak 3A, to Darren Van Curran and then Wraz Red Angus. She also had a very popular Genesis sired heifer calf on the tour this summer at Phil’s. The sire, Let’s Roll, is a huge muscled, great carcass sire from Biebers and a paternal brother to Seneca 731C. Selling one pregnant recip (black cow) due February 1, 2021.
