Iron Saddle Ranch is owned and operated by Richard & Barb Krupski & Sons Dylan and Dustin, and is located in the Qu’Appelle Valley 15 miles south of Abernethy or 8 miles north of the #1 Highway at Sintaluta. We calve out 350 commercial cattle that are a Hereford/Angus base and use Hereford, Angus, and Simmental bulls. We have been using Hollinger Land and Cattle bulls for the past 11 years and have had great results. We are offering 3 pens of 3 heifers. These heifers were vaccinated in the spring and fall with Vista Once & Fermicon7/Somnugen, and treated with Ivomec on Nov 22/14. They are currently on 25lbs of oats/barley sileage and 6 lbs of rolled barley.
Once again we are very pleased and excited, to be part of the 3rd annual Hollinger Land and Cattle “Little Hussies” open replacement heifer sale. Our heifers for this years sale are March born females that we feel are stronger then ever before. We’ve assembled three, very uniform groups that we are confident will go on to be great mother cows. Our family farm is located 2 miles north of Lemberg. Myself Dennis, along with my parents Murray and Debbie, sister Janelle, and our great lead hand Dan Schierer operate the farm consisting of 2500 acres of grain land and our cow herd that we have built to 115 cows. We believe strongly in purchasing quality seed stock genetics, and sourcing cattle that are sound, calve easily, and that display a great deal of performance. When we aren’t busy with the many jobs and chores that come with our grain and cattle operation, we also have a couple side lines including; building portable steel panels, calf shelters, and silage feeders, as well as custom grain cleaning. LD Stock Farms is Located 2 miles west and 2 miles south of Neudorf. It is a family run operation consisting of 450-500 SimmenDarren & Laura Piller 1-306-730-8794 tal/Angus based females. We currently breed using red and black Tanner Piller 1-306-730-8792 Angus as well as red and black Simmental Bulls. The Heifers that we are consigning are out of our spring calvBox 235 ing program, and are born in April and May. Our commercial cow herd consists of 110 Angus x cows. We have been using Angus as well as Simmental bulls on these Angus type females. Our goal is to have a moderate framed cow that calves easily, and is highly productive. Cross breeding gives us the opportunity to utilize many of the great aspects of each breed, to produce females that are great mothers as well as great milkers, and steer calves that push the scale down and feed easily. As well due to our smaller number of Purebred females, our commercial herd gives us the opportunity to do some Embryo Transplant work, and in turn this helps us to produce more registered calves that we know will be raised by our highly productive cross bred cows.
