7:30 pm Klezmer Buenos Aires with Lerner & Moguilevsky Congregation Ahavas Achim, Newburyport, MA By popular demand, BJMF is proud to present a special festival preview concert for the North Shore Jewish Community featuring Lerner & Moguilevsky, two master musicians and improvisers from Argentina. César Lerner and Marcelo Moguilevsky use klezmer as a springboard for intense, original improvisation. Marcelo Moguilevsky (vocals, clarinet, bass, soprano sax, wooden flutes, harmonica, bagpipe and duduk) and César Lerner (piano, accordion and percussion) seamlessly blend Argentinean folk music, jazz, contemporary music and tango. Tickets: $18 in advance, $20 at the door Presented in partnership with Congregation Ahavas Achim and Peabody’s Temple Ner Tamid and made possible with support from the North Shore Jewish Federation.
