BSPC People . . . who’s in-house? Each issue we get to know a BSPC professional from one of BSPC’s member

firms and this week we are speaking to - Kirsty Scott from Haddon & Turnbull Tell us about your role within Haddon & Turnbull? My role in the firm is quite varied as I cover the main reception but I’m mainly involved in the property side of things. I take all the photographs and prepare sales particulars, organise all the marketing and advertising, and arrange viewings.

What keeps you busy when you’re not at the office? Walking our dogs and looking after the family.

Where’s your favourite place in the Borders?

What would be your ideal holiday?

The Millars Knowes and the Targets in Hawick – I never tire of the great view over the town.

Lying on a white sandy beach in the Caribbean with a book in one hand and a cocktail in the other.

How long have you worked with the firm? 12 years

What do you enjoy most about your job? The variety I think. I enjoy getting out and about, taking photographs and meeting with clients . . . and the sense of satisfaction you get from helping someone sell their property.

Tell us about your home or dream home? I’d love to build a house in the country . . . ideally set on its own at the top of a hill, with a sunken hot tub on the veranda to relax in as you sip a glass of wine and enjoy the great views.

What’s your greatest achievement? Bringing up my gorgeous daughter.

Name two things you can’t live without? My other half says it’s him but it’s really bacon rolls and chocolate!

What’s your favourite Borders eatery? Now that’s a hard one as there’s so many good places to choose from! I do love the carvery at The Mayfield Restaurant in Hawick though.

Who is your favourite author/ artist or designer? I don’t have a favourite as such but I read a lot of books by Peter James, Frederick Forsyth and Lesley Pearce.

What’s playing in your car right now? Moby

What natural talent would you like to have? To be a good singer but unfortunately I’m tone deaf!
