In addition to producing his own art under the brand Atelier Pelcl and making designs for large-scale production, the former rector and current professor at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague specialises in the theory of design and lectures at universities abroad. He is the holder of an honorary doctorate from the University of Brighton as well as of many Czech and foreign awards, such as Designer of the Year or National Prize for Design.
