The upcoming BTO seminar will discuss strategies to help mitigate incident exposures in your buildings. This seminar will cover what is in your building; how to mitigate contamination or cross contamination in your buildings; and ICRA / PCRA, what is it and why should you know? You will also learn how MOB procedures can help you in your office building and what your responsibilities are during construction projects. The program includes case studies and panel discussions to help advise building managers and engineers and keep them out of the court room. The course provides an understanding of electrical systems and lighting, elevator maintenance and modernization, and pest and solid waste management. It also covers security issues, fire and safety systems and energy management concerns. This course is eligible for the BOMA Georgia Foundation Revolving Fund Program. High-Performance Sustainable Building Practices BOMA Members: $1,035 | Non-members: $1,285 August 26-28 This course is a part of BOMI’s new High-Performance Certificate Program. Throughout this course, you will learn how to effectively optimize and apply sustainable best practices-that cover every aspect of the built environment-to drive operational efficiencies for a highperformance building. This course is eligible for the BOMA Georgia Foundation Revolving Fund Program. Leasing and Marketing BOMA Members: $1,035 | Non-members: $1,285 September 16-18 In this course, you will gain the skills needed to successfully lease and market building space under favorable as well as adverse economic conditions. You will learn to conduct targeted market surveys; to develop a marketing plan that will please both the owner and the tenant. This course is eligible for the BOMA Georgia Foundation Revolving Fund Program. Ethics is Good Business ShortCourse BOMA Members: $395 | Non-members: $495 October 29 (1 Day Only Understand the effect that ethical behavior can have on your professional performance and your property’s bottom line. Through presentations of real-life scenarios and case studies, you will identify and resolve ethical dilemmas that can occur on the job. Real Estate Investment and Finance BOMA Members: $1,035 | Non-members: $1,285 November 4-6 Through this course, you will learn to take charge of real estate investments in order to maximize the value of a property. You will develop knowledge about basic financial concepts as they relate to real estate. Similarly, you will learn to evaluate real estate investments and to develop budgets that estimate net operating income. This course is eligible for the BOMA Georgia Foundation Revolving Fund Program.

2015 SMT and SMA Courses

Regular SMA/SMT Course pricing is $1,035 for members and $1,285 for non-members. All 2015 SMA/SMT courses feature an embedded scholarship from the BOMA Georgia Foundation for all registered students lowering the price to $535 for members and $785 for non-members. Through this course, you will learn about climate control for human comfort, the components of HVAC systems and the basics of water treatment and plumbing systems. You will gain the skills and knowledge to perform common water tests, maintain air-conditioning systems, maintain water services and inspect portable fire extinguishers. Electrical Systems and Illumination BOMA Members: $535 | Non-members: $785 Tuesdays, October 6-November 10 This course provides you with a clear understanding of electricity basics, the skills needed to measure electrical consumption, and the ability to recognize, set up, and maintain reliable and effective maintenance and safety systems. Please select your BOMI Enrollment Status (This section is required for registration) BOMI Designation Enrollment Fee: I wish to pursue a BOMI designation. REVOLVING FUND EDUCATION SUPPORT PROGRAM

The Revolving Fund Education Support Program is designed to assist real estate professionals whose company will reimburse the entire cost of educational programs after the employee passes an exam. Through the program, the BOMA Georgia Foundation will pay the entire cost of RPA, FMA, HP, SMT, and SMA courses, and upon successful completion is reimbursed for the entire course cost and all BOMI enrollment fees and/or late fees at the time of registration by the individual’s employer. Biennially, the Foundation produces a Georgia Property Management Salary and Benefits Survey. The research includes extensive salary and benefits data for various property management and building engineering positions. Position titles have been standardized and include descriptions, which enable Georgia real estate companies to benchmark their salary and benefits. Monitors studies and recommends policy and advocacy strategies on legislative and regulatory matters affecting real estate. Meets throughout the year, mainly during the state legislative session.

Membership Committee

Plans and conducts ongoing membership recruitment and retention programs. Meets throughout the year.

Professional Development Council

Approves professional development programs and guides development of programs for young professionals and ensures RPA, FMA, SMT and SMA designation courses are offered. Meets four times per year.

Sports Outing Committee

Plans and supports the annual BOMA Georgia Sports Outing and meets June through October.

TOBY Judging Committee Closed for 2015

Judges and selects winners for The Outstanding Building of the Year Awards. Meets in January.

BOMA Georgia’s Young Professionals Shared Interest Group (YP SIG) is for individuals 35 years old and under who are interested in advancing their careers in the commercial real estate industry.

Medical Office Building Managers

The Medical Office Building Shared Interest Group (MOB SIG) is organized to address the specific interests of medical office building managers and engineers.

Green Real Estate Network

The Green Real Estate Network is for professionals who are interested in increasing their knowledge of green and sustainable practices. Members of this group will receive invitations to green breakfasts and be the first to know about green and sustainable course offerings from BOMA Georgia.

Industrial (Not open to vendors/service providers) The Industrial Shared Interest Group (Industrial SIG) is geared solely to the needs and interests of industrial real estate managers.

Facilities Management (Not open to vendors/service providers) The Facilities Management Shared Interest Group (FM SIG)addresses the important issues and big questions of Facilities Management property professionals.

Social Media Messengers

BOMA Georgia’s Social Media Messengers (SMM) is a unique group for social media savvy commercial real estate industry professionals who enjoy creating engaging social media conversations in and about the commercial real estate industry. Members of this group meet virtually (email and Yammer) to plan and create social media dialogue related to BOMA Georgia and the real estate industry.
