As the summer passed she continued to turn heads, weather in the pasture or the show ring, as she placed top of her class at the Taber Junior Show in October. This heifer gives me goose bumps, with a sharp front, feminine head, great angularity, and sound structure. I find myself excited to offer a female of her caliber yet sad to let her go. Great temperament, longevity, sound feminine structure all run deep in her pedigree. With the maternal side going back to our “Eve 101B ” line, the tried tested and true cornerstone of our program. This cow at 21 years old has left us with many daughters, grand daughters, and great grand daughters that always produce at the top of our program, with the solid pedigree of 315. These daughters share her excellent udder & teat quality sound foot and ability to put pounds on the ground. 108A has even more added value in her sire “Kodiak 0148 ” that has done a tremendous job leaving the attractive, correct, usable kind from any kind of mating. We anxiously await his first set of heifers to calve here this January. His sons are easy fleshing, long sided and display plenty of hair, as does this heifer. This heifer is a great representation of the type of calves the “Irish ” calves are. 69A is out of a first calf heifer that offers a little more length, a great hip, and a great udder. She is a daughter of our Merit raised sire “Dutch ” who has stamped his daughters with these tidy udders, a sound foot, added length, and clean feminine fronts. At this year ’s Chinook Classic Sale in Taber we offered a grand daughter of “Dutch ” who turned many heads that day & possessed many of the same feminine & solid traits as this heifer and sold to Delar Angus. 69A ’s dam is a maternal sister to the bull we sold to Ringstead Ranch in 2008 that when ultrasound scanned in the spring of 2009 had a 16.5 in ribeye.
