We are pleased to be part of the MB. Advantage Sale. We have been breeding Limousin cattle since 1973 and have been members of both MB. and Canada associations since 1974. We are proud to be Canada’s oldest Platinum Herd and have numerous Elite Dams on the CLA’s recognition programs. We dispersed our breeding herd of 9 years and younger in the fall of 2014 but still manage to breed 70 females in 2015. Our cows left us some outstanding calves and we are pleased to be able to share them with you. Only because of age, health of our workforce and the desire to reduce our workload are we selling these heifers. There is no way this quality of heifers should ever leave a breeding herd. We have been involved with Limousin cattle since the 1970’s. We currently run around 150 purebred and commercial cows. We also have some grain and hay land. We try to AI as many cows as we can to keep improving our herd. This year we have bulls at the Douglas Test Station sired by Yak The Black, Doublewide, Wulfs Trailblazer, Jaymarandy Axis Extreme and KAD Zazzabar. Tim and Kaitlyn do all the showing now. They are both working at building their own herds. Kaitlyn is involved in 4-H and the Junior Association and Tim likes to show in open and breed shows. Bob is on the MLA board as a director in 2015. We have decided to put one of our two Elvis heifer calves in the sale. She is off a cow that we purchased from Campbell’s bred female dispersal WGC 114Y. This cow produced the high selling bull in Bill’s 2014 Bull sale. This heifer has the potential to be a good one.

We began our venture approx. 33 years ago, and continue to operate Triple R Limousin with the help of Scott, Larissa and family. We also run a feed business, plus custom built corral panels, alleys, gates, etc. I was introduced to Limousin cattle in 1978, then worked for 7 years for Bittersweet Limousin until their retirement. Maria and I purchased cattle out of their dispersal to increase our herd. We run 190 cows and raise bulls for breeding stock, selling about 30 - 40 per year. Our goal is to raise functional cattle for today’s market and we strive to meet our customer’s satisfaction. In the past couple of years we’ve been AIing 70-120 cows per year. We have a solid herd of cows and run a heavy culling program. We are offering a solid group of cattle in this sale. It is a please to host the Manitoba Advantage Sale for the 3rd year. Kodiak is a great heifer calf that was part of our 2015 summer show string. Kodiak placed 1st in the heifer calf class, the mature cow calf class with her dam and in progeny of dam with her full sister at the Manitoba Summer Limousin Show. Kodiak is a super quite deep quartered, deep sided, wide toped heifer calf. Kodiak dam is a great milker and her sire’s dam is also one of the top milker’s for Twin Oak Limousin herd. TWN Zeeman 12Z has become one of our farm’s top producer of females with both the purebred and commercial females. Kodiak would make a great show heifer for any junior or 4-H members and will work great in any herd.
