Actor and “Extra” TV host Mario Lopez is no stranger to South Florida. On this particular afternoon he’s fashionably late for his appearance at Bloomingdale’s Aventura— though the throng of adoring fans doesn’t seem to mind. The actor and TV host with the massive dimples and sixpack abs is in town for a fashion show featuring RatedM, his new line of men’s underwear, exercise garb and tees. “I’ve always wanted to design clothing and this gave

me a chance to offer something for exercising, which is a major passion of mine,” says Lopez, who works out daily to keep his body buff. “It was great to meet so many nice people.”
cause the people are laidback and friendly,” says Lopez, 38. “With the beaches, food and subtropical climate, I am constantly reminded of San Diego where I was raised.”
Fast-forward two weeks, and Lopez is back in town, this time hosting a bash for Garnier Fructis at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. After the event, he spent a few days lazing at the pool and on the beach.
Though, when you’re Mario Lopez, everyone’s friendly toward you. They sort of can’t help it.
