Giuliana Rancic long to land the man she had lusted for on the small screen. In 2004, the longlegged E! News correspondent had watched Bill Rancic on the first season of NBC-TV’s “The Apprentice.” She was so smitten with the tall, dark and handsome contestant that she never missed an episode. Week after week, she longed to meet the guy she called “hot, glib and smart.” So she was beyond thrilled when Bill was selected by Donald Trump as the show’s winner, becoming the first candidate hired by the Trump Organization in 2005, and she was assigned to interview him. “I was totally in love with Bill from just watching him on TV,” recalls Giuliana, 36,

now an E! News anchor, managing editor and member of its irreverent Fashion Police panel. “I jumped on it. I used my job to find a husband!” Turned out, it was love at first sight for them both. Bill says he was taken with Giuliana’s vivaciousness from that very first day, when she peppered him with questions about the show and what it was like working for Trump. “I had dated a lot of girls before I met Giuliana,” admits Bill, 39, who asked her to go running on their first date. “But from that day on, I was so fascinated by her that I dated no one else. She was so smart, beautiful and interesting.” And so marked the beginning of a beautiful long-distance relationship.
