Matt Carroll converts his fifth four-point play of the season in Charlotte’s 98-90 win over Golden State. With five four-point plays in 2006-07, Carroll places second in NBA history behind Mitch Richmond for most four-point plays in a season. Richmond converted six such plays in 1996-97 as a member of the Sacramento Kings

February 3, 2007

With the Bobcats 98-90 win over Golden State, Bernie Bickerstaff becomes the 10th active NBA coach to reach the 400-win milestone.

February 13, 2007

The Bobcats acquire forward Eric Williams, a 2009 second round draft pick and cash considerations from San Antonio for Melvin Ely.

February 16, 2007

Raymond Felton scores 17 points as his Sophomore team upends Adam Morrison (16 points) and the Rookies 155-114 in the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam at All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas.

Gerald Wallace is named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from March 19-25, where he averaged 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.33 blocks and 1.33 steals in leading Charlotte to a 2-2 week.

April 2, 2007

Walter Herrmann is named Eastern Conference T-Mobile Rookie of the Month for games played in March after averaging 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds, while shooting .585 from the field and .472 from beyond the arc over 13 games.

April 9, 2007

Gerald Wallace earns Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks. Wallace averages 30.0 points on .610 shooting to go along with 10.8 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists in leading Charlotte to a 3-1 week.

April 14, 2007

Walter Herrmann scores a career-high 30 points on 12-15 shooting (6-8 from three-point range) in the Bobcats’ 113-92 win over the Bucks at Milwaukee.

April 18, 2007

Bernie Bickerstaff closes out his career as head coach of the Bobcats with a 94-93 loss to the Knicks. Charlotte finishes the season with a 33-49 record, an improvement of seven games over their win total of 26 in 2005-06.

April 20, 2007

The Bobcats win a lottery tiebreaker over New York and Sacramento, as all three teams finished with 33 wins After winning the blind draw, the Bobcats are slotted eighth heading into the lottery.

May 8, 2007

Adam Morrison and Walter Herrmann are named to the T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Second Team, marking the third-straight year Charlotte has been represented on the team.

May 22, 2007

Charlotte comes away with the eighth overall selection in the NBA Draft at the NBA Draft Lottery.

May 25, 2007

Sam Vincent is named the second coach in Bobcats history. In conjunction with Vincent’s appointment, it is announced Bickerstaff will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.

Rod Higgins is named General Manager, after serving in the same capacity with the Golden State Warriors.

June 1, 2007

The Bobcats unveil their broadcast teams for the 2007-08 season, with Steve Martin, Henry Williams and Stephanie Ready handling television duties and Scott Lauer calling the action on radio.

June 7, 2007

Phil Ford, Lee Rose and Jeff Capel are named assistant coaches.

June 18, 2007

Buzz Peterson is named Director of Player Personnel and Dell Curry and Paul Mokeski are named assistant coaches.

June 20, 2007

The Bobcats announce that WNMX – MIX 106.1 FM will again serve as the official flagship radio station for the team’s game broadcasts for 2007-08.

June 28, 2007

At the 2007 NBA Draft, the Bobcats acquire guard Jason Richardson and the draft rights to Jermareo Davidson 36th overall selection) from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Brandan Wright, whom the Bobcats selected with the eighth overall pick. In addition, Charlotte selects Jared Dudley with the 22nd overall pick.

The Bobcats waive guard Brevin Knight.

July 2, 2007

The Bobcats sign first round draft pick Jared Dudley.

July 9-13, 2007

The Bobcats take part in the 2007 Pepsi Pro Summer League hosted by the Magic in Orlando, where they post a 2-3 record. Adam Morrison averages 15.5 points over two games to lead the team in scoring, while Jared Dudley and Jermareo Davidson are named Second Team All-Summer League.
