YOUR VISION, DELIVERED.

“Having been through the remodeling and construction project multiple times, we have never had an experience like the one we have with Constatine Builders. They were organized, reliable, on time and professional throughout. The communication was fantastic. They understood our goals and kept our best interests in mind. Including finding ways to help us save money with materials, permitting and design. The final results were outstanding. They truly are the best at what they do.” — BRANDON COOLEY

Why support our work

The Seattle-King County Dental Foundation supports a program that provides life-saving dental treatment to kidney dialysis patients who are awaiting transplants. Transplant patients need to be free of all oral diseases in order to be cleared for surgery. We have partnered with the Swedish Medical Center to provide complex extractions through the Swedish Special Care Clinic. These patients are not able to be helped through the community clinics are referred to Swedish. The clinic was founded with extensive support from our Foundation. We support these, and many other organizations that provide vital dental care top the most vulnerable among us.

Who we are

The Seattle-King County Dental Foundation is dedicated to proactively eliminating dental infection and pain in the King County population that lacks resources and/or access to dental care. The Seattle-King County Dental Foundation (SKCDF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. MEMBER MEETINGS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION 2021 Tuesday, January 26, 2021 | 6PM – 9PM

Airway in the Restorative Practice: An Interdisciplinary Approach

This will be a virtual meeting

The correlation to worn teeth, TMD, GERD, and sleep is well-documented. A protocol to examine, identify, and treat is critical for the restorative dentist, as well as the inter-disciplinary team. Dental sleep disorders and tooth wear are associated with each other, and all are common multifactorial conditions. There is a strong case to be made for an interdisciplinary clinical team to manage oral health-related sleep disorders. A comprehensive approach can result in a state-ofthe-art diagnostic process and thereby resulting in optimal care. This topic will be relevant with general practitioners, as well as orthodontists, surgeons, and other specialists. Your patients need restorative sleep for their teeth and total body well-being. About our presenter... Dr. Kevin Kwiecien graduated from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in 1995 and holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration. He has more than 25 years of private practice experience with most of those years overlapping in academia. Before joining Spear Education full-time from 2014 - 2017, Dr. Kwiecien served as assistant professor of restorative dentistry at OHSU School of Dentistry where his roles included director of the university’s faculty dental practice, as well as course director of pre-clinical fixed prosthodontics and co-course director of advanced restorative concepts. Dr. Kwiecien’s dedication to high-level continuing education began with Dr. Frank Spear in 2001. Shortly thereafter, he completed the curriculum at the L.D. Pankey Institute. He has over a decade of national and international lecturing and workshops. Dr. Kwiecien is an adjunct faculty member at Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine, directing the practice management curriculum. He also serves as faculty member at the L.D. Pankey Institute and dedicates the majority of his time as the owner of K Squared Facilitation and Dental Education, facilitating long-term health for the practice, team, and patient. Installation of Officers and the Honoring of Life Members This will be a virtual meeting

State of the State with WSDA President Dr. Denny Bradshaw We live in unprecedented times and the role of organized dentistry is more important than ever before. Dr. Bradshaw will share up-dates on what is happening legislatively, as well as what the WSDA is doing regarding the pandemic. Additionally, we will honor our Life Members and our newest elected Society Officer. About our presenter... Dr. Denny Bradshaw received his dental training at Loma Linda University, graduating in 1986. He returned to Tri-Cities and joined his father Robert in their Pasco dental office where they worked together until early 2010. Dr. Bradshaw enjoys keeping up to date with the ever changing and advancing field of dentistry. This commitment puts him in advanced classes many days each year, which helps him provide his patients what really works and is worthy of incorporating into his dental practice. He also enjoys being involved in organized dentistry and has served the Washington State Dental Association on numerous different committees. He is a member of the International Seattle Study Clubs local chapter. Dennis and his wife Traci have two grown children. Special thanks to our Sponsor: Omni Practice Group
