The Biggest Fish

P ÁG INA

On Thursday July 24 at 6:00 pm, while several people enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar at the top, inside the restaurant at Casablanca Inn Hotel & Restaurant Bar, the Organizing Committee of the International Corvina Fishing Tournament discussed point of views and shared ideas with the common goal of making the 2011 tournament a success. Sipping a delicious iced tea and coffee with the Casablanca Inn taste, the committee reached several agreements. Undoubtedly the most significant one is that this year only 1 (one) corvina per day will be accepted for judging purposes. The prize will go to the (one) largest corvina. As you may well remember, in the 2010 tournament, the rules specified that 2 (two) corvinas were accepted. This is the major change to the rules. Other modifications to the tournament rules are being analyzed and will soon appear on our official website: www.bahidekino.com.mx in English and Spanish

Kino Bay Desert Golf Course

P ÁGINA

In February 2001, several golfers got together in hopes of getting a place to install a golf course. After seeing several sites, they had finally found the property that is now known as the Kino Bay Desert Golf Course. At a meeting with Mr. Fausto Garcia, the interested golfers talked about the possibility of a commodatum from the Sonora state government. In February 2002, the state issued the commodatum. Once the paperwork was in order, the golfers rented machinery and construction began. 10 days later, they were able to play the first golf tournament on March 15, 2002. Since then improvements to the golf course have not stopped. The Kino Bay Desert Golf Course holds about 5 tournaments a year and Kino Bay’s Club Deportivo holds four a year. Women's League plays every Saturday morning during the winter and couples league play every other Wednesday. This year the Ladies Club Ladies Club Kino organize a benefit tournament for the children in Old Kino. Get your clubs ready!
