Prior to building your ad for HOG Magazine, please review these guidelines set by Harley-Davidson Motor Co. HOG Magazine reserves the right to require changes to non conforming ads.

No cancellations accepted after the advertising space reservation date. Advertising payment due 30 days from date of invoice. Service charge of 1.5% will accrue to any unpaid balance more than 30 days overdue. First-time advertisers are subject to credit approval and pre-payment may be required.

• Only official Harley-Davidson licensees are allowed to display any HarleyDavidson logo, name or other trademarked image. • Only Harley-Davidson motorcycles can be displayed and no other motorcycle brand logos may be depicted within the ad or mentioned within the ad copy. • No Harley-Davidson motorcycle used in an ad can have straight pipes or any aftermarket accessories that are clearly not H-D Genuine Motor Parts, H-D Genuine Motor Accessories or Screamin’ Eagle Performance Parts. • No image can show unlawful behavior or activity. • No image can contain clothing items that are clearly not H-D Genuine MotorClothes. • No advertisement can mention HOG Magazine or quote editorial from it. • No advertisement can include specific testimonials from any dealerships (either Harley-Davidson or other brands). • All HOG ads must have quality consistent with Harley-Davidson’s corporate marketing communications. Ads with technical or design issues may be required to be revised by the advertiser.

PRINT PRODUCTION SPECS: • Keep essential live area a minimum of 1/4-inch from trim edge on all sides. • Submit full-page ads as print-ready PDFs with crop marks set at trim dimensions, but do not extend crop marks into bleed image edge. • Image resolution = 300 dpi, 150 line screen. Maximum ink density = 300.

C O P Y & C O N TR AC T C O N D I TI O N S The publisher reserves the right, at any time, to reject any advertising that is considered inappropriate or incompatible with the character of the publication, or that does not meet with the approval of the Federal Trade Commission, without liability, whether or not the same has already been accepted and/or published. Publisher shall not be responsible for advertising orders which are accepted but do not appear because of acts of God, action by any governmental entity, strikes, fire, flood, insurrection, riot, labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind or other occurrences or other conditions beyond the publisher’s control which prevent the publisher from publishing or delivering HOG magazine. Advertiser and advertising agency agree to indemnify, defend and save harmless the publisher from any and all liability for content (including text, illustrations, representatives, sketches, maps, trademarks, labels or other copyrighted matter) of advertisements printed, or the unauthorized use of any person’s name or photograph arising from the publisher’s reproduction and publishing of such advertisements pursuant to the advertiser’s or agency’s order. The publisher’s liability for any error will not exceed the charge for the advertisement in question. Advertiser and/or its advertising agency agree that they shall be jointly and severally liable for any amounts due and payable to the publisher. Any advertiser’s deliberate attempt to simulate this publication’s format is not permitted. REBATES, RATES, OTHER TERMS Any rebates, rates or terms outside the above conditions are to be negotiated between the publisher and the advertiser/agency representatives. Published rates are based on availability and first sign-up basis. Rates, frequency and circulation of HOG magazine are subject to change at publisher’s discretion, with advance notification given to all advertisers.

Contact Lisa Erb for FTP login instructions. • Spread ads must be submitted as single-page PDFs. • Half-page ads preferred in .eps .psd or native file format with embedded graphics and fonts. • Magazine is printed web offset 4/color process on 60# gloss stock and perfect-bound. • Digital files and color proofs will be retained by publisher for one year.
