Guests enjoyed camaraderie, lovely music and a sumptuous buffet of Asian delights. The lobby and adjacent areas of the hospital proved to be a pictureperfect setting for this annual event, which honored Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation’s Lifetime Circle of Distinction members. “Over the years, and through your generosity, you have helped Scottsdale Healthcare become a worldclass healthcare system,” said John Ferree, president of Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation. “Your loyalty and enthusiastic support have enabled Scottsdale Healthcare to become a destination of hope and outstanding care.”

The evening was highlighted with the dedication and opening of the 5,000 square foot H.N. and Frances C. Berger, Thomas and Joan Kalimanis Healing Garden. The new addition is actually the second garden to open at Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak thanks to generous gifts from our friends and neighbors. Earlier in the year, the Thompson Peak Community Garden in honor of Mary Alice Sheely, opened and now serves as a scenic outdoor waiting area for visitors and staff. n Pictured on opposite page, Joan and Tom Kalimanis celebrate the opening of the Healing Garden.
