One of our favorite females from Form to Function 2008 was BSG Tillie 724, a full sister to this year’s Lot 1 bull. Just like 724, we think Dalton is ahead of his time. Dalton has so many traits we desire in the present day Shorthorn. Another hit from 3904! 849’s full sister was a highlight in the 2008 Form to Function sale and we are certain she will be a crowd pleaser as well. Her dam, 3904, was purchased from WHR Shorthorns and is the top pick of many who visit the BSG cowherd. She is simply massive in her lower third, has the same body condition score every month of the year and when she calves, her udder is nearly perfect in its attachments with her teats short and beautifully placed. We could not feel more strongly about all the positives this cow has to offer.
Before she became a household name, the BSG crew was fortunate enough to partner with Cates Farms on two flushes of SS Augusta Pride 3127. At the time, Trump was just hitting stride and we knew it would be a fantastic mating. A few years later this pairing resulted in BSG Augusta Pride 213, the donor dam of Lot 5 and maybe the longest bodied, thickest stifled cow in the BSG outfit.
